We have been to Floataway many times. The menu varies and there is always a lot of choice. IT's a nice atmosphere usually (if there's a large loud party the noise level can be quite high- if you want quiet ask to be seated in the dining room off to the left as you enter- it's a totally separate room... Wonderful from beginning to end. The service was exceptional . The food was plentiful and very tasty. Menu was eclectic and interesting. BUt still appropriate for a family with two teenagers. I can't say enough nice things about this place. We went midweek, so i'm sure it was a lot less crowded. I had the pork tenderloin. My wife had... More

I'm lamenting the unfulfilled years that I've missed not coming to Floataway. Everything from the interiors' the food, and the service was terrific. It's out of the way in a former manufacturing district, but I think that made it even more interesting. Apps were the clams in a delicious broth and dinner was a shared pizza. I have nothing negative... More

We had excellent oysters and a crab fritter which was only cooked half way through, but tasted good. The swordfish was great, with a most unusual and delicious eggplant and other veggie mixture. The hanger steak was so heavily spiced that it was inedible by either of us. We were charged $5.00 to refill our glasses of lemonade. Not a... More

This restaurant continues the fine tradition of Anne Quatrano in the Atlanta area. Excellent food, good service.

We had a couples dinner here today and when we first got there we were shown to a table which was in the bar. We 'politely' refused and indicated we do not consider that an actual table. We waiting about 10 minutes for another one and from there onwards our experience was great. We came a few years ago and... More

I have been going to Floataway since they opened. When I lived in Atlanta, this was my neighborhood hangout...sort of like Cheers, but with GREAT food! This restaurant & its food has NOT disappointed me yet. I have a huge problem ordering something new. I almost always get my 2 favorite menu items -- Piccolo Frito & Hanger Steak with... More

Floataway Cafe is a hipster spot in the funky Zonolite Industrial area of midtown. Loads of separated dinning areas and cool bar. This Saturday evening, the joint was jumping with the Morningside-Emory-Buckhead young professional crowd in abundance. Great glass and metal with large glass window doors for milder weather. (Be sure to bring your “too dark to read the menu... More

Stopped for dinner to celebrate my son's completion of his PHD program. Set in a office complex that belies its ambiance as a restaurant. Menu leans French but other options available. Waiter very attentive and explain menu and special options. Leisurely pace to dinner allowed us to share the moment with our son and daughter in law. A little hard... More
