Best biscuits

I don't even like biscuits all that much, but these are wonderful. We came for the country ham and red eye gravy, but were a little disappointed at how salty the ham was. Overall the meal was good. Get there early to get a seat!

A really fun experience. Traditional diner style eating with wonderful food. Obviously the biscuits are amazing. The fast pace of everything was fun but not exactly service with a smile. My wife and I split the southern breakfast which was more than enough for the 2 of us.

Having seen the Silver Skillet on Diners, Drive Ins and Dives, we decided that it was a must during our visit to Atlanta. We decided to visit for brunch before heading off on a long drive. The diner is a little run down, however, the staff were welcoming and extremely friendly. My wife had the ham and I had the... More

Since so many famous folks and television shows had graced the doors of this place, my husband and I decided we needed to try it for breakfast before we left Atlanta. It was just okay... I had the biscuits and gravy. and my husband had an omelet. I prefer the white gravy I make at home, but it was edible... More

Went to this restaurant since we saw it on Diners, Drive-ins, and Dives. There were four of us so we had a pretty could variety of food. The ham was way to salty, fried pork chops had no flavoring what so ever, omelette was stuffed with veggies and little cheese, biscuits were absolutely to die for though. Staff was miserable... The food is average. We werent sure why so many dignitaries and TV shows visit and film here. It's run down.

I had the Skillet Country Ham breakfast and it was absolutely fantastic, my grandmother was the only one in my family that knew how to make red eye gravy and this meal brought back some great memories. Excellent food!!!

We have been several time and love it every time. Such a neat local experience. The food is great and service is amazing. You can tell the servers have been there for a while and know everyone that comes in. She even remembered us from 6 months earlier when we have traveled through. Just a good old southern breakfast. If... More

We first learned of the Silver Skillet while watching an episode of Delicious Destinations: Atlanta, with Ed Zimmerman, which featured their Red Eyed Gravy and Ham breakfast. The spot intrigued us, and seeing as how it was only a 5.5 hour drive away, we set out to experience it for ourselves. It was like stepping back in time, but on... More

Yes, this is the diner that was featured in Anchorman 2. It has a great vintage look. If movie locations are your thing, you'll get a kick out of that. Other then that, it's kinda meh. It's supposedly a fixture here in town, but I'm not sure why. Maybe I didn't have the right thing for breakfast? I ordered the... More
