The Silver Skillet is a great local breakfast place to visit and eat if you visiting midtown Atlanta. The food prices were very reasonable, the biscuits were made fresh and tasted delicious and the service was very efficient. The eggs I tried were made very fresh and the prices were very reasonable. I will go back and return this restaurant... More

My wife and I had lunch with friends today. We always look for local places and our friends recommended the Silver Skillet. I'm glad they did. It's a "hole-in-the-wall" kind of place. But the servers were friendly and the food was good. Not sure what else you would expect unless looking for a national chain like iHop. It's worth the... More

We were sucked in by the Best Breakfast in Atlanta sign. It was soon obvious they have seen their better days. Service was horrible, the place felt dirty, the food was mediocre at best. I had the meatloaf, if it wasn't for the store bought barbeque sauce it would have had no flavor.at all. My wife had a chicken salad... More

After reading favorable reviews and seeing ads/mentions in many Atlanta publications, we were looking forward to a great local experience....NOT. We love finding small out of the way places with a quaint atmosphere...but boy were we disappointed. Friendly..YES....good food NO. I asked before ordering if the hamburger was hand patted or was pre-made...not made by hand...then I asked what on... More

This is a great place to grab some breakfast. It has a waffle house feel, but cleaner and better. One thing I love about this place is that all the servers look like 'lifers'. I bet the average length of employment here is 20 years. They are all super nice and quite fast with the food delivery. The food is... More

I absolutely loved the decor of this place. It appears nothing has changed since the opening of the restaurant. Ordered the ham breakfast with grits and red eye gravy. The ham was not super salty like others I've had which made it wonderful. Overall my meal was wonderful and the service was fine. I will come back when I'm back... More

When I first walked in, it reminded me so much of my great grandmothers kitchen. The smell, the decor and the food. The food was great! It was Sunday so all they had as breakfast. And that was fine by me. Pork chops were great, biscuits were great. Everything was awesome. A must try, come on many celebrities have!

what they claim is country ham is really (city ham)! their marinade turns the meat red and makes it look like country ham, but it is not. I grew up eating country ham, and believe me, this aint it!!! they are probably doing this because real country ham is very expensive. these people are getting rich by lying to people.... More

Pros: Great breakfast, good food and experienced waitresses!!! The prices were good and food was the old fashioned real southern breakfast. I will go back again! Cons: Did not like that the restrooms are located outside, down an alley.

Went there last weekend, looks like stepping back in time to the 50's and that they have not done anything to it since then but..... I had a pecan belgian waffle with bananas and whipped cream that was fabulous. I would drive a little further to eat there again. I get tired of the fast food breakfast places. This was... More
