We visited on Monday for breakfast and only had to wait a few minutes before getting a table. I had the Country Ham platter with the red eye gravy as seen on Diners, Drive ins, and Dives. It was very good. The grits, eggs, and biscuits were good as well. My wife had the bacon and egg breakfast and she... More

Loved the old school style of this place, no it not shinny and new, but it's clean and the staff treats you with typical southern hospitality ! Could not have been nicer, fast service and yummy breakfast. Definitely worth a try !

Classic southern breakfast at a place that was used as a setting in many movies and TV series. Very busy place. I was called "honey, sugar, darling, and babe," more times than I can count by the waitresses. It is like your favorite aunt is waiting on your table. Please go at least once.

Visited around new years eve for breakfast, as this is always mentioned as one of the places to eat when in Atlanta. It was pretty busy when we visited around 10am but we were able to be seated within about three minutes. The inside is definitely old school, and you can find all sorts of photos of celebrities who have... More

I've been a fan of the Silver Skillet for many years. We stopped by the other day after shopping at Atlantic Station, since it was nearby and we hadn't been to the diner in a while. I was hungry for breakfast, so I tried the Lonely Eggs, which are two eggs without a meat accompaniment. It came with two biscuits... More

We had this place on our bucket list of places to visit. It was great. Staff was awesome and the food was great. Hint: Get there early, this place fills up quickly!

This is about as close to genuine southern food as you will get in Atlanta. Food is served hot ans fast. I think they prefer you eat the same way because they are always very busy.

You live in the Atlanta area? Then you've got to make the obligatory visit to the Silver Skillet, that way you can say you have been. Charming for a trip there to feel the 50's vibe and read the numerous funny signs on all the walls and pictures of the many celebrities and politicians who have been there. Food-wise -... More

If you're looking for a place with great food and a memorable atmosphere then you want to stop here. It's classic diner food, but itNs really good. The French toast is the best I've ever had. This diner is reasonably priced and the staff is fantastic. Put this on your must-do list on your next trip to ATL. You won't... More
