Guy Fieri was here. Place can be busy so getting there early or being patient is a must. Food is "diner" food. Nothing to rave about but it's good.

Stopped here for lunch after finding them in my Roadfood book I bought from Barnes & Noble. Doesn't look like much from the outside, but on the inside you find out the food is excellent. I had a grilled chicken omelette with grits, both of which were delicious! They do close early afternoon however, just as a heads up (3... More

If you're looking to have some real SOUTHERN charm and comfort food, then head to The Silver Skillet on 14th! There's not a bad thing I can say about this place. It's like going to grandmas' house, but more choices :) The biscuits & gravy are to die for, and the HAM - will make you a believer. My friend... More

This little restaurant makes you feel like you are back in the old diner days of the 1950's! Wonderful service and great atmosphere!

This was the first place we stopped after we got off the plane. Great charm, friendly and engaging staff, best oatmeal in the history of planet Earth. Just do it.

Ok, we went online to find out what Atlanta restaurants were on Diners Drive-ins and Dives show on Food Network. The Silver Skillet was the closest to our destination so we had to try it. I loved the feel of the place. Businessmen would come in their suits and sit at the table. If they were regulars they would bring... More

Came here for first time after hearing about it for the first time and it lived up to expectations and then some. The Super Skillet Omelet and Southern Special pork chops were extremely tasteful yet affordable! I will be back!

We had to stop here after I read about the place in Garden and Gun magazine and looked at their website. Thought it would be a fun stop. It was! My son had the meatloaf and absolutely loved it. I had the open face roast beef sandwich and my husband had the country ham steak. Everything was prepared just as... More
