Expensive, but great steaks

Truly enjoyed my meal at Morton's although had I been there on my own I am not sure I could have afforded the meal. The food is outstanding, the prices very high. A once a year place to visit.

Was shocked at how we were treated. Visiting ATL for a concert so strike one against us must have been the jeans and leather jackets. However, we called in advance and asked if this was ok, which we were told we were. Also, we wanted to sit outside. Arrived and had a cool greeting. Not much going on inside so... More

It amazes me that this restaurant is very expensive. My expectations were high. However, the meal was average. I ordered Lobster Bisque that was completely tasteless. I thought perhaps that the chef or Manager would inquire as to why it was sent back. To my surprise, no one asked. I then ordered the chopped salad. This was another mistake. I... More

Early dinner on Sunday evening for two, walked in and immediately seated, early so not busy. Excellent service, friendly staff. Dinner companion had steak and was cooked perfectly, I had salmon and equally cooked perfectly. Good wine selection and really large and excellent deserts. Split one of those for two.

Laugh all you want but this is THE best steakhouse in Atlanta. Yes, it's a chain and I don't care. It's perfect. They have my favorite vodka (Charbay) and they have wonderful food. Great atmosphere for a special occasion OR for just a quiet dinner out. If you don't want to get a full table, go to the bar and... More

We had 430 reservation. Seated immediately. Ordered the special "surf and turf" filet and lobster. My steak and lobster came to table cool. Not acceptable at any restaurant but especially not at the price of 53$ for the plate. The chopped salad was good. I ordered the lump crab cocktail for appetizer. Basically a few chunks of crab on lettuce... More

I was a singleton (with a paperback, even), so particularly aware of everything. Service was fine - everything explained, not too intrusive, I had a book to read after all. I had a New York Strip, a salad and a few bottles of IPA. All were OK. Pretty expensive at $110 for one, though. The bar side looked lively

I found the food to be average, absurdly expensive and the atmosphere noisy. If you are going to charge premium prices there should be food quality and service to match. If going to an upscale steakhouse chain, stick with Ruths Chris. Even better, if in Atlanta, head to Bones in Buckhead.

Always love the steaks. Always hate the bill. Service was good. Sides were also good. A la cart pricing makes for an expensive night.
