My nephew took my wife and I to Murphy's for lunch and we had a great time. The location is just outside of downtown Atlanta and was rather busy as we were there at lunchtime. I had an excellent bean soup and a salmon BLT sandwich, with sliced avocadoes on sourdough which was served with fries and was good and... More

This place is a very social place and one of those places to go just to say that you went there for brunch with your friends after church or before you get consumed with your day of doing other stuff. This place is a very popular one. There is usually a wait, but at least there is a pretty good... More

Everything about this place is great! Service was excellent and friendly and food and drink were outstanding. I started with a blueberry julep that was delicious. I ordered the trout -- perfectly cooked over mashed potatoes. My partner ordered the gnocchi- creamy and delicious with delectable sauce.

6 of us went there for dinner and we all ordered something different. They all gave the food, which had a nice spin to all of it, 5 stars except I gave mine 4 and a half because my shrimp was served with the heads on. Yuk! Very creative cocktail offerings. I had the Cats Meow and it was wonderful. Food... More

I love Murphy's - they have an amazing wine selection and brunch is always delicious and crowded. Parking is limited in the Virginia highlands area. Their dinner is my personal favorite - between the lobster salad and the brisket - depends on the mood. They also have a fantastic dessert selection. Make a reservation if you can or sit at... More

Great brunch and awesome wine selection. Ice been here 20+ times. It's like Houston's in town. But better dinner here is always great but the restaurant is noisy. Seems I'm also seated near a big party or something. Regardless the food has never let me down. Also love their desserts.

I had a very pleasant lunch at Murphy's. Welcoming and helpful service alongside a delicious lunch of Sea Bass. One minor issue - some bread would have been nice to nibble on whilst waiting, as we didn't have time for a starter. It was also a pity that I didn't have time to stay for pudding... next time!

We went with friends to celebrate a friend's birthday on a Friday night. It was so noisy you couldn't hear yourself think let alone hear what your companions were saying. The waitress wasn't very helpful. She tried to push the most expensive items on the menu including a $50 bottle of Pinot Noir. Appetizers comprising Caesar salad and mussels were... More

Went with my daughter for Father's Day brunch and everything was excellent. Steak and egg special sounds ordinary, but was amazing. My daughter had shrimp and grits which she thoroughly enjoyed. The service and decor added to the great experience. My only regret is that there was no room left for the beautiful deserts I saw.
