Always excellent food and service

I don't go to Murphy's enough. I have several menu items I always struggle to decide on when I go and try to mix it up each time because I can't eat them all at once.

I guess it's an Atlanta thing, lots of weird food combinations on this menu. I don't think of myself as overly picky but I would prefer to see a few more middle of the road choices. I ended up just having a salad but the dressing was thick & an unusual color of green. The desserts looked great....all made in... More

Murphy's has become a Virginia Highland's institution. We recently moved back to Atlanta to try the place after several years. They still have much of the same menu, but it is done well. The service is great, and the atmosphere is pretty laid back...good for a group that want to talk over dinner. They have a decent wine list, and... More

We were fortunate to find Murphy's and they gave us one of the most satisfying dining experiences we've had in Georgia. In a thriving yet quaint area of NE Atlanta among many restaurant choices, Murphy's holds their own. QUALITY seems to inspire ALL aspects of operations; host, servers team, ambiance, FOOD (sooooo good), drink offerings and please don't pass on... More

We had the brisket dish, shrimp scampi, a chicken dish plus tuna tartar and calamari. Appetizers were good, but the main dishes were exceptional. Highly recommend this place. Plus around the corner they have a few good bars!

We made a reservation for five persons, appeared at the appointed time, and after waiting and being put off for about 30 minutes, went across the street to eat. Not a good beginning, and that's how it ended. Good luck to other diners.

Food, people, drinks, good company I strongly recommend. I had the Monday house special beef, also ordered was the kids meatloaf, and a burger. All was prepared to perfection. Even had a chance to meet one of the owners who treated for desert.

We were using a gift card, and had looked forward to the evening. The service started poorly with the waiter who had absolutely no personality or any idea of how to relate to his guests. The wine was served in a dirty glass, the appetizer arrived after the main course and he didn't seem to understand why that was a... More

The atmosphere at Murphy's is a soothing and relaxing gem after a day at work. Quite romantic with white linen tablecloths and glowing candles, feeling like your in one of the in-town bungalows that surround this lovely restaurant. If you're lucky enough to sit near a window, you can people-watch the bustling pedestrians riding bikes, shopping, walking, playing music, etc.... More

Fun ambiance, great menu, extensive well stocked wine cellar, and a chef who comes out and grats you-if you know what to say..........
