We have enjoyed Murphys for years but our meals last night were not up to par. The shrimps and grits were not good, the fish was not enjoyable. Other items ordered also were disappointong. The menu looks the same but the food was not worth the price. We probably will not return to Murphys.

I was in Atlanta for a business trip, and someone from Atlanta told me about this restaurant. The parking lot was small and crowded, and I understood why. The food and service were really good. All of the salads and entrees were delicious (ribs, steak, etc). We also had the dessert platter, which was nice enough for 3-4 people to... More

Atlanta based friends took me here for dinner. We had a delightful meal with attentive, but not oppressive, service and a wonderful atmosphere for conversation. They even modified the preparation of a dish to accommodate a food allergy. Everything was delicious, including the wine.

I guess it's an Atlanta thing, lots of weird food combinations on this menu. I don't think of myself as overly picky but I would prefer to see a few more middle of the road choices. I ended up just having a salad but the dressing was thick & an unusual color of green. The desserts looked great....all made in... More

I don't go to Murphy's enough. I have several menu items I always struggle to decide on when I go and try to mix it up each time because I can't eat them all at once.

Murphy's has become a Virginia Highland's institution. We recently moved back to Atlanta to try the place after several years. They still have much of the same menu, but it is done well. The service is great, and the atmosphere is pretty laid back...good for a group that want to talk over dinner. They have a decent wine list, and... More

We were fortunate to find Murphy's and they gave us one of the most satisfying dining experiences we've had in Georgia. In a thriving yet quaint area of NE Atlanta among many restaurant choices, Murphy's holds their own. QUALITY seems to inspire ALL aspects of operations; host, servers team, ambiance, FOOD (sooooo good), drink offerings and please don't pass on... More

We had the brisket dish, shrimp scampi, a chicken dish plus tuna tartar and calamari. Appetizers were good, but the main dishes were exceptional. Highly recommend this place. Plus around the corner they have a few good bars!

We made a reservation for five persons, appeared at the appointed time, and after waiting and being put off for about 30 minutes, went across the street to eat. Not a good beginning, and that's how it ended. Good luck to other diners.
