Virginia Highlands, the trendy in-town Atlanta neighborhood on the east side, has its share of good restaurants. La Tavola vies top of the list. Casual but not tee-shirt and shower clog style, the interior and balcony offer comfortable seating and a great neighborhood feel. Food choices change periodically but the menu remains creative, with locally grown ingredients, great pastas and... More

My husband & I went to this restaurant based off the reviews on here on a Saturday night. We were not as impressed as others have seem to express. Place is SUPER small & does not have a 'romantic' feel to it @ all in our opinions. The portions are small but the food itself wasn't horrible. I had the... More

I've been to Italy, tried out NYC, Miami, Philly, LA among other fine italian dining experiences...but this place is the best Italian in the world..this is the first time I write in trip advisor...is just amazing...no words to describe...the ragu tagliatelle and the squid ink linguini...out of this world..not fair to other Italian restaurants.

I've had the fresh pasta with mushroom ragu many times. I think that it would be my last meal request. Last dinner there my daughter and I shared burrata and hangar steak appetizers. Dinner for her was gnocchi with duck ragu. The texture was perfect and duck was very flavorful. My pasta with mushroom ragu was a bit over salted.... More

La Tavola keeps amazing me with the seasonal selections. We saw the chef on TV - Atlanta Eats and decided to stop in for dinner and drinks. We sat at the bar on a Saturday night - rather small only a few select seats. The bartender knew his wine and made some outstanding suggestions for our entire meal. We started... More

Great little restaurant - we dined late on the back porch and were completely unrushed though it turned out we were the last people in the restaurant! The food was fabulous, service outstanding and atmosphere really relaxed yet good quality. I had the market fish and my dining partner the saltimbocca - both great. Good wine list too.

Very simple, just go there. Food was amazing. We had the Market Fish, Saltimbocca Alla Romana, and the bolognese pasta. My monthly food allowance would be in trouble if I lived in Atlanta.

The food at La Tavola is excellent. Good sized portions and fine service. The restaurant is small and intimate but the noise level makes it harder to talk with your companions. Overall I would go back inspit of the noise.

Our concierge didn't recommend this restaurant but we decided to go for it after reading other reviews. We are glad that we did. My husband had the Lasagna and it was a very flavorful layer of this recipe. He said it was better than his mother's homemade noodles!!I Like eating dessert, Triamisu. I had the Saltimbocca which was also a... More

This restaurant was highly recommended by Trip Advisor users. The food was good and service was fine, but this restaurant was made for noise. Loud music, crowded tables close to each other, and a wait-staff that had to navigate ("Sorry," "Excuse me," "Oops") through very narrow aisles, so patrons had to shout to be heard.
