This is a pretty small nondescript restaurant right across the street from Mary Mac's Tea Room, but it is a beauty. I have had lunch here at least 10 times and dinner a couple of times. The food is fantastic and the service is friendly and attentive. I wish that I could give a more comprehensive review of the menu,... More

Our daughter and husband took us there because they knew we liked Hispanic food. We all ordered their Cuban sandwiche and their were absolutely the BEST we have ever eaten, bar none. Served on a nice roll with huge portions of pork and ham and a savory sauce. Only our son-in-law was able to finish the whole sandwich and the... More

I heard about this place from a friend. My friend and I went on a Saturday for an early dinner. They have a bar side and another side which you can watch TV. The bar side plays salsa, merengue, etc. I ordered the chicken dinner with beans and a salad. I also ordered a soursop (guanabana) milkshake. The chicken was... More

We usually go to the restaurant in Stockbridge, but the downtown Atlanta one is fabulous as well. Never had a bad meal. Nice people, good choices, reasonable prices. Our favorite place for Cuban dishes.

Bullet list for easier reading 1. Watched "Chef" on the flight in, so we wanted to try a Cuban sandwich. 2. Found it using Tripadvisor-Never disappointed. 3. Place was friendly, staff are real Cubans. 4. Tried a sampling of several items, everything was great. 5. Our waitress,Orquídea was so cool! 6. Although we've never been to Cuba, we've been to... Since my trip to Costa Rica in 2011 I have fell in love with fried plantains. It is very difficult to find them in Arizona so when visiting Atlanta I found this gem. We ordered the sampling of empanadas and they were absolutely delicious. I also ordered the plaintains of course that were as close to Costa Rica as I... More

What they do well here, they do really well. Let's start off with that. Yes, their black beans are bland, their rice is tangy and unappealing, their meat empanadas are bland, their chicken empanadas are old and dry inside. But that was the worst of it. Medianoche sandwich? Excellent. Big pieces of pork. Lots of meat. Delicious. Same with the... More

While visiting Atlanta, we took the time to stop in to Papi's for lunch. The staff was friendly, and quick! We started with appetizers of Yucca fries and fried sweet plantains. Both were delicious! For meals, a variety was ordered, including the shredded pork, the seared pork, the Cuban sandwich, white rice, yellow rice, black beans, salad, and fried green... More

Our friends, who recently moved from the burbs to midtown Atlanta, were told that Papi's has the best Cuban food in Atlanta. It's only a block and a half walk from their apartment, so on a recent rainy day we decided to give it a try. Our lucky day! There is an upstairs bar and a very casual downstairs dining... More
