Quiet respite at ATL

When I have a longer layover this is my go to place at ATL. Location is tucked just away from the main center area so a good place to decompress from travel and escape from the crush of crowds in the balance of the concourse. A great menu & excellent service as well!

I have written lots of reviews but never one for an airport restaurant. This one is worthy of a good review. In the craziness and business of Hartsfield, this is truly a respite. The quiet music, a bit out of way location, the carefully crafted menu, and the well trained and peaceful wait staff make this a worthy stop. My... More

Cafe Intermezzo has a great variety of European coffees and a vast selection of tea. In the morning they serve breakfast until 1100, which is very convenient. Their menu includes crepes, sandwiches, and salads. In the evening they have a full dining menu with healthy options. I spend a lot of time in ATL and even if I'm in a... More

We found ourselves at Hartsfield-Jackson airport at 0800 & need breakfast. With a 3 hr layover we had time to pick and choose. The "grab & go" places didn't appeal to us. We saw this cafe, there was a line, so we decided to give it a try. We bypassed the line by choosing to eat at the bar, but... More

Server didn't see me since I was tucked in a corner. But all was good once he saw me. Classy look, nice resting place during your layover. Salad was crisp and tasty!

Having flown through the night from Lima, Peru, I had my heart set on a southern breakfast with grits and all the trimmings during a layover in Atlanta. By the time I processed through customs, it was already 10:45. I was attracted to the Cafe Intermezzo with it's well appointed furniture and view of Hartsfield's flight operations. Vickie, my waitress,... More

Nice "European" style cafe with a good selection of coffees, expressos, cappuccino. Southern twist on classic breakfast items - crepes, omelets, etc...served with fresh fruit and salsa. A little weird that it also sells books intermingled throughout the restaurant. Ask for a window table - great plane spotting! What made this place memorable for me was the exceptional service -... It’s a great place to go if you want a good meal at the Atlanta airport [Terminal B]. It’s a combination book store and restaurant. They have a good selection of fiction, nonfiction, young adult, best sellers and new releases, as well as some other categories. They also sell a nice selection of magazines. The books are on one side,... More

Decidely European feel to this cafe as the implies. More cozy and quiet than other choices in this terminal and includes the book store in the same space. Unfortunately, I was hungry for a hamburger but should have stuck with one of their European offerings, which looked delicious on the tables nearby. The burger itself was good, but the bun... More

Atlanta is not my favorite airport, and airport restaurants are not my favorite place to eat. But if you happen to have a couple of hours to spend in the Atlanta airport around mealtime, it's worth a visit to Concourse B and a stop in the Cafe Intermezzo. Very pleasant environment with the books on the wall and nice music... More
