Outstanding brewpub

Approaching from the road, one sees the sign in front of a circular, grand, colonnaded building. What?? This is a brewpub? Ah! The entrance is around the back, and the place is in the cellar. That's better. On a Tuesday evening, the atmosphere was a hum of conversation in a brick room full of... read more

My family went to this location on a recent road trip for the craft beer. The dinner was surprisingly good and so was the beer! We ordered the cheese fondue which was excellent and was served with an assortment of unexpected dipping items like radishes which were delicious! We also had the meat plate which was also very tasty. For... More

There are so many wonderful tastes that we just ordered a bunch of appetizers.the Cranberry beans turnips and carrots were particularly good. I had my introduction to boiled peanuts and I am hooked. We were there on a Saturday night and crowded as it was the wait was not as bad as I anticipated. The beer selection is remarkable even... More

A few of us went to the Wrecking Bar as the first stop of a "beer day". We went in the middle of the afternoon, so were able to get a seat immediately. The sevice was very good, and the waiter was very friendly and helpful. They have a nice selection of their own beers (about a dozen options), as... More

I was VERY disappointed, downright unhappy, with my latest visit to Wrecking Bar. My Seitan Philly, no bread, did not include cheese or caramelized onions, as listed on the menu. It was bland, fried Sietan with a couple of mushrooms tossed into the mix. When I complained, the restaurant comped the "Philly". My vegetable side of English peas, carrots, and... More

I enjoyed their kolsch brewed beer-- it was crisp and clean. We ordered the boiled peanuts to go with the beer. The peanuts were to be boiled with a spice and salty. They lacked the spicey taste but we're still pretty good.

After hearing reviews from friends, I wish I had tried this place sooner. If you're a fan of craft beer, they have a large selection to choose from. If you're unsure of what to order, they offer half pours (8oz), and I believe I saw another table order a flight. I ended up tasting around 5 or 6 brews, and... More

First, the food: Grass fed beef that's ground onsite makes for a delicious burger. The sausage plate is also very tasty. In fact, everything we tried on the menu was delightful. Now for the beer: Just order a flight for some of the best tasting beers we've had in Atlanta. Our favorite is the oatmeal stout. Too bad they don't... More

Initially, I was a little put-off by the attitude of the hostess. We were offered a table (that lots of other people had declined) that was directly in the way of the main entrance on a cold night. She seemed a little aggravated when we declined the table. Aside from that, the rest was positive. Overwhelmingly, I was most impressed... More

Stopped with friends for a pint and were not disappointed. The English Mild, although not what I was expecting was tasty and tart, however some friends found their beer too hoppy. The handcut fries with four sauces was a welcome addition to the beer.
