Because I was weary after two days attending a convention, I elected to dine with friends at the Renaissance Atlanta Waverly Hotel's onsite restaurant, Medici. Like many business travelers, I've been both pleased and disappointed when making such a decision. The food at Medici, however, was excellent, and of good value. I enjoyed the calamari, crab cake, spinach salad, and... More

The filet mignon and sea bass were prepared perfectly. The wait staff was very attentive without being intrusive.

We had a meal here after a late check-in into the Renaissance Hotel. We ordered a pizza, a cod dish and salmon salad. our waitress was a bit slow in placing our order. Also the cod dish came well after all of the other food was served. This restaurant would not do very well in less it was in the... More

Medici is a fairly uninspired place. The decor is bland, the food average, and the service was slow. The good news is that it is not too expensive, at least for a restaurant in a good hotel, and it is very convenient for those staying at the hotel. For others, however, there are better choices.

Had a very good pasta dish with excellent sauce. Fresh bread and a wonderfully attentive waiter who did not "lurk" but was always ready with a refill.

I don't expect a lot from restaurants in suburban business oriented hotels but this place failed even that. Room is nice enough but connected to main bar so a bit loud. Good wine list. Food is terrible and overpriced. Italian restaurant serving poor frozen calamari. Crab cake was cheap crab meat, poorly seasoned and had a tasteless sauce. Sea Bass... More

We ate here one evening after arriving at the Waverly hotel. The place is indeed nice for an hotel. I had a crab burger and it was so-so. The bruschetta was better, even though the waitress stated it was impossible having it without garlic: the chef then actually prepared it without, but it probably means it's usually prepared before, which... *Service was phenomenal *Bruschetta was perfect - other than what I've had in Tuscany, this was the best I've had *Risotto wasn't great, but good *Main dishes may have been a little overpriced, but then again, it is a hotel restaurant.

I had dinner two times here at the Medici Restaurant in the Renaissance Waverly Hotel. Both times were just fantastic. I have two "standards" I judge a restaurant by: service and calimari. Service was exceptional. From the monent I was seated, staff was on hand to help. My server was Omar. Very nice. The chef came out and spoke with... More
