Excellent Restaurant in the Renaissance Waverly!

One of the best Restaurants I've found IN a hotel. Dinner menu is full with Italian, Beef, Fish... good selections. Calamari Fritti is my favorite appetizer and they do it well. Wine selections are adequate. There were four of us and the reviews of steak, fish, pasta, and flat bread pizza were all... read more

Don't let the vast chasm of the lobby of the Renaissance Waverly Hotel dissuade you from seeking out this restaurant. We went there for Valentine's dinner prior to attending the Atalanta Ballet. I was, at first, skeptical of eating in a hotel restaurant but was pleasantly surprised by the food and the delightful attentive service. The ambience was perfect for... More

First of all, we didn't have a reservation and was told the next available was 8pm... it was 5:50 PM. They advised us that we could sit in the Tuscan Blu bar and that they served from their menu. Food was below average at best and very overpriced. Also, we had full view of the Medici dining room and there... More

Because I was weary after two days attending a convention, I elected to dine with friends at the Renaissance Atlanta Waverly Hotel's onsite restaurant, Medici. Like many business travelers, I've been both pleased and disappointed when making such a decision. The food at Medici, however, was excellent, and of good value. I enjoyed the calamari, crab cake, spinach salad, and... More

The filet mignon and sea bass were prepared perfectly. The wait staff was very attentive without being intrusive.

We had a meal here after a late check-in into the Renaissance Hotel. We ordered a pizza, a cod dish and salmon salad. our waitress was a bit slow in placing our order. Also the cod dish came well after all of the other food was served. This restaurant would not do very well in less it was in the... More

Medici is a fairly uninspired place. The decor is bland, the food average, and the service was slow. The good news is that it is not too expensive, at least for a restaurant in a good hotel, and it is very convenient for those staying at the hotel. For others, however, there are better choices.

Had a very good pasta dish with excellent sauce. Fresh bread and a wonderfully attentive waiter who did not "lurk" but was always ready with a refill.

I don't expect a lot from restaurants in suburban business oriented hotels but this place failed even that. Room is nice enough but connected to main bar so a bit loud. Good wine list. Food is terrible and overpriced. Italian restaurant serving poor frozen calamari. Crab cake was cheap crab meat, poorly seasoned and had a tasteless sauce. Sea Bass... More
