We started with the shrimp and grits and I thought it was delicious. The shrimp were coated with barbeque sauce and served on cheesy and buttery grits, accompanied with spicy sausage and toast. I then ordered the Belly Benedict which is served on sweet potato hash browns and garlicy greens. Awesome! The greeter and our server were very friendly and... More

We have been to this restaurant before, and always had a great experience. This time the service overshadowed the food. We ordered wine. Then we ordered salads. The salads came, but not the wine. After complaining, the wine showed up. They were out of the trout on the menu, so they substituted it with scallops. After three of us ordered... More

This is a unique place near Decatur. The place is cozy and comfortable. The food is very good. the menu is fresh seasonal. My friends who do not usually eat vegetable's cleaned their plates. We also had an excellent server. The manager also came by several times to check to us> A great night out

Two recent visits -- late afternoon "brunch" and New Years Eve dinner -- were both very satisfying and relaxing. The brunch (just me and my adult daughter) favorites were the egg dishes -- cheesy scrambled eggs and an omelet. The relatively uncrowded New Years Eve meal was perfect -- food, wine, service, atmosphere. We had scallops and lamb, with a... More

We went here last night for a nice nite out without the hustle and bustle of a large chain. The food and the service was excellent. Honey had the salmon and I the short ribs. Yum! I will say that I didn't care for the "Lucy" salad (though it came recommended as the house fav) or the banana cream pie... More

We were looking for a good place for NYE for a family of 5, with 3 small children. Never heard of this place but liked the menu and it was not far so gave it a try. What a gem ! Service was fabulous, everyone was so friendly, fast and truly like a family, the food was fantastic, real soul... More

Had a delicious fried green tomato sandwich with pimento cheese and a side of cole slaw made of Brussels sprouts. The food is so fresh, delicately prepared. Bistro-like atmosphere in a cool old building. Beautiful decor. One of the highlights from my trip to Atlanta, if I'm ever here again, would visit here again for sure.

Was here a few months back and forgot to write a review. Back again for Saturday breakfast. Excellent coffee. The P.B.L.T is so wonderful you have to try it. Very nice eclectic eatery in Kirkwood. Yes I said Kirkwood on the College Ave side down from the East Lake Marta Train Station.

Breakfast or brunch is my favorite meal. It's when I'm hungriest and when I don't count calories. That's why my husband worked so hard to find a place that is both unusual and special. Sun in My Belly fit the bill precisely! I had an omelet of the day. It featured boursin cheese and was out of this world. Now... More

Doesn't look like much from the outside. Drove past a couple of times before finding it. Why turn on the "Open" sign when the restaurant is open, right? Comfortable, earth-tones interior. Friendly staff. Generous portions. Nice presentation of delicious food. Took forever to get out of there. I was made to wait ages to buy a gift certificate, just to... More
