Excellent food - creative dishes, refined flavors, well presented. Asian/ fusion/ eclectic. Inexperienced server that rushed the meal a bit. Not the most charming of settings, but fine as the roadside inn that it is . We detoured 75 miles to go to Mangowood because of reputation, and we are pleased that we did. The snapper was a very good... more

Well, this was the only bad dining experience in the area. The only good choice we made was the wine. The salad was soggy and not chilled and the duck breast which the 3 of us ordered was tasteless. The portion was small with a tiny amount of rice and nothing else. The main thing was that the level of... more

Our impression: good ideas that needed work, and suffered greatly in presentation. For example, tofu sesame "fries" studded with black sesames were delicious and perfectly cooked, but arrived crammed into a parfait glass that prevented them from cooling properly or being eaten with the accompanying mesculum-- now, that's just silly. The coconut-risotto cakes sounded dreamy and tasted good, but were... more

Just returned from a fall foliage tour of Vermont. One of the highlights would certainly have to be our lovely meal at the Mangowood restaurant. For $37 per person, we received an amuse bouche (a panko encrusted delight), an appetizer of pumpkin soup, a salad, a main course (black sesame coated salmon) and a dessert. The salmon was particularly delicious... more

Superb food, pleasant atmosphere, good service. Chef Theresa Tan is top drawer. The red snapper was done perfectly. All 10 of us raved about our individual meals. We will be back! more

My husband and I were lucky enough to find this gem as the Deer Brook Inn recommended it. We were a little skeptical only because as vegetarians we’re used to grandiose menu descriptions but getting the unimaginative flavorless pasta or mushroom dish. The menu sounded amazing, and was even more unbelievable once we started eating. We arrived a little early... more

We live locally in Quechee and were celebrating our daughter's 26th birthday. She was visiting from Arlington Virginia and we told her we were going to this Fabulous restaurant. (As reviewed by many). We had the SLOWEST service we can remember in a very long time. Our water took 20 minutes, we didn't get bread for half an hour. It... more

My husband and I were in the Woodstock area to drop our son off at summer camp. After doing so, we decided to try mangowood after reading about it in the local paper. I am SO glad that we did - it was easily one of the best meals we've had in a long time! The service was likewise fantastic... more

The crispy fish is to die for. You could expect to find a chef as good as Amy in Hong Kong, New York, or Paris. This was over the top for Woodstock, VT. more
