Ok we were there when it was not busy No 1-hostess took way to long to acknowledge us...did not take our coats. The food was good and tasty except duck over done. The end was so bizarre as dessert served but we were never asked if we wanted coffee or tea and no greeting or thank you on the way out....too... More

When staying at the Lincoln Inn we had the opportunity to have dinner at the Mangowood restaurant that's located at the Lincoln inn. Chef and owner Teresa Tan created an extraordinary quisine who can be a competition to any of first class michelin restaurants. Very cosy and welcoming restaurant, excellent service, fine and varied wine list and above all the... More

We had dinner here on a Tuesday night and were totally charmed by the experience. First of all, I find it way out of bounds reading other reviews here criticizing the decor. Yes, the decor is simple (in good taste and very New England), but if you're looking for a pretentious dining room this is not for you. We found... More

My wife and i went there foe our 12 year anniversary and the food was amazing, the taste was sensual, almost spiritual. I highly recommend this restaurant becuase the customer service was exceptional, the staff had great attention to detail and the ambiance was heavenly. We are planning to make a couple more visits to this gem.

My wife and I had a wonderful dinner at Mangowood. The fare was very friendly for us vegetarians. We got the four course price-fixed menu: tofu fries with black pepper (a creative way to prepare tofu), spicy cucumber gazpacho, vegetable quinoa and chocolate mousse. The service was attentive and the setting very nice.

We had higher expectations for the atmosphere and were disappointed. On the other hand, the food was outstanding. The chef knows what she is doing in the kitchen. I had a whole fish that was one of the best meals I have ever had. Too bad they pay no attention to the décor or ambiance.

The setting was beautiful and we walked over to the covered bridge next door before our dinner began. We had the prix fixe meal. Every course was a different flavor feast! The great food was beautifully presented in different plates for every course. The appetizers were stellar! what a treat to find in Vermont!

Upon entering Mangowood, you are struck with how simple and beautiful it is - just like a country inn restaurant should be. And the chef nutracker collection and paintings in the breakfast room are delightfully whimsical. The menu was interesting and varied enough to suit many tastes, and they go to great lengths to let you know what is suitable... More

I'm sorry a few other reviewers had disappointing experiences, but my family and I have been back three times and each time was astonishing. Teresa Tan has got to be one of the best chefs in America. She created a fish dish that was not just beautiful, but delicious. Our vegetarian kids got tofu fries - rolled in flour with... More

Let me clearly state that the food here was outstanding. Calamari wakame sesame salad was tremendous, as was my wife's honey fig brûlée. The mesclun salads were very nice (more goat cheese please) and fresh. I had the Chinese barbecue pork tenderloin which was perfect, but my wife's sirloin was even better - a great cut that was seasoned and... More
