Great place for a slice and beer

Good pizza and craft beer, love it. Pretty basic little pizza joint with a good dough and sauce recipe going for them on their regular pizzas and calzones. I haven't gone off the simple cheese and peperoni/sausage pizza and beer menu to speak to their other specialties.

sub par pizza + unfriendly staff = bad (that's going easy on it too) I need 100 characters minimum to publish. Now I do. Done.

Stopped for a bite, we both had spaghetti and meat balls. Sauce was very bland, like just out of a jar. Atmosphere was ok.

Much better food, less pretention than the Red Rooster, more sensible portions, good fun, nice bar area but dead by 9.30. Well worth visiting, down side you can't book and queues formed early, but by 7.30/8.00 getting a table was much easier. Good value for money but not a place to linger- feed and go. Happily eat there again

The prices are high. the food average to poor, and the wait staff good. I ordered the spcial of fried boneless chicken thighs with red-eye gravy. I guess the chef has no ties to the countrynor the south, as the chicken was dry, and scorched. No discernible red eye gray on the plate. Very nasty. They did offer me an... More

We were looking for a place to have lunch in Woodstock while sightseeing and stumbled upon this "local pizza place"- and we were in for a surprise! We ordered 2 pizzas- a large cheese for the 4 kids and a large Greek pizza for us 3 adults. The kids enjoyed their pizza so much that even the crusts were gone.... More

We discovered the place when everything around was close, but what an excellent surprise for that family business, with a diner local atmosphere! Delicious food! The pizza with all the varieties was unbelievable, but they have also a large menu of pasta and meat, and free refill drinks! We and the kids so much loved the place, that we came... More

Family and I came here for a quick dinner, which turned into a 45 minute wait-fest. We order 3 small pies, and after the awful wait in the empty place, 2 of them came out. They forgot to make the third, which we had to wait 20 more minutes for. The pizza was surprisingly good for something that looked like... More

We were looking for a quick, take out meal one night on our last vacation so we decided to give Pizza Chef a try. Crust was "okay", sauce tasted canned, veggies were "fine"...all it all it was simply "meh". Next time we'll head to Pi or order early from South Woodstock store.

We had a delicious farmer pizza and Cesar salad. Nice surprise of beer on tap. Overall a great meal, friendly service, decent price.
