Real Good Food at Practical Prices

The turkey vegetable soup is rich and tasty. I was told that the turkey for the sandwiches is roasted right there at the store and thus the bones for the soup make a rich broth. It had plenty of vegetables to add to the taste. I enjoyed every mouthful. My husband said that the clam chowder is... read more

This cute little restaurant and downstairs ice cream shop are where you want to dine when in Woodstock. The Mountain Creamery stands above all others where ice cream is concerned. If you haven't tried their (insert any flavor of ice cream here) you are missing out. The upstairs is the restaurant serving great breakfast and lunch fare. The downstairs, aside... More

Cash only ice cream shop, expensive but fairly good ice cream. Not sure if it is homemade but the coffee fudge was yummy. My husband had just chocolate but for two cups it was $12!!! It looks like it is the only place in town so there you go.

Great place to go for homemade ice cream that is very rich. Nice thing is that they are open util 10 pm where most other shops are closed early in Woodstock.

Breakfast was wonderful ! Nothing says retro to me like a wooden screen door and pine paneling. Since there was a stream of 'locals' we assumed we were in the right place.

We stopped here on our way out of town. I really wanted some Vermont maple syrup during our trip, and this diner didn't disappoint. We had huge platters of pancakes and sausage. If I had known how much food it was going to be, I'd have split my order and saved some money. We ended up paying around $65 for... More

We ate breakfast here and the omelettes were very substantial and delicious. Home baked bread and Green Mountain coffee were superb. Pleasant, friendly staff made for a very enjoyable breakfast experience.

If you are looking for a good old fashioned country breakfast, this is the place! It is so good its almost a cliché. Omlettes, pancakes , waffles, meats......you name it. Great friendly service and delicious food. Eat a little or eat a lot! It's all good.

If you want a hearty breakfast, this is the place. Especially if you love waffles and pancakes. A lot of their bake products appear to be homemade. Good coffee. I would keep this tops on my list of breakfast spots in Woodstock. On street parking, but you don't have to put money in the parking meters early in the morning.
