Lovely environment and superb pumpkin soup

Stopped after a day of touring Route 100. We split a hamburger and beer special and a bowl of their fabulous pumpkin soup with cider reduction. Unhurried and pretty.

My husband and I had an amazing experience eating at this restaurant while staying at the hotel. The staff was extremely helpful in their recommendations and the steak and wine was perfect. My husband and I enjoyed the appetizer and my husband swears the entrée is one of the best steaks he's had in years. My only frustration is that... More

We ate at around table in front of the fireplace. Steak was tender and very flavorful. Tried a flat bread and it was also good. Breakfast there made you just want to relax and wish you could stay another night. You could tell everything was prepared with you taste and dining experience in mind.

Forgot to mention two things for Kedron Valley - There is NO cell service. NONE. Although they do advertise having WIFI, it is very sketchy. You have to move around the room to find it - then it just disappears. You are truly off the social media grid which is not necessarily a bad thing.

Friday night dinner on a beautiful August evening in Vermont on the porch of the Kedron Valley Inn = wonderful! And what is even nicer is that you are encouraged to dress casually. I enjoyed the NY strip which was seasoned differently than I had experienced before and sliced in an imaginative way with a pleasant presentation. My wife had... More

We enjoyed our dinner at the Kedron Valley Inn. The setting is great, especially if you can get one of the tables on the porch in the evening (although some of the chairs are more comfortable than others), and the food is consistently very good. Our issue during this last visit was the service. It was slow and we barely... More

The restaurant at the Kedron is well worth the drive out from Woodstock, even if it is only four miles. The setting is charming, from the warm candlelit dining room to the seating on the wide front porch. Service is professional and attentive, with great local knowledge to offer on demand. But the food is the thing, and through three... More

Since our family was staying at the Inn, we decided to go ahead and eat there. Since it was a comfortable evening, we chose a table outside on the porch. We all ordered the roasted chicken; however, the waitress came back to inform us that there were only two chickens left, so my son opted for the salmon instead. The... More

This is one of our favorite fine restaurants, especially in the summer months when dining on the porch is an option. I love to begin with one of their signature cocktails. Their Charcuterie plate features varying homemade options such as lamb terrine, and their Cheese plate offers varying locally-made selections. The entrees are always fresh and innovative, and the plating... More

KVI, as in is known locally, has a lovely dining porch, a dark, cozy tavern and a dining room, so there are good choices to match your mood. There is an attempt to serve local food, and Cloudland beef is always a treat, though there was a straight veggie entree and a couple of fish items on the menu. Service... More
