we liked the setting, far up a road to the farm, set in the woods, away from it all. This is a farm to table restaurant. They grow everything and prepare the meals from their produce and animals. There is no menu of choices. You call ahead for a reservation, call again if you want to know what's cooking for... More

Location is wonderful, on old family farm in Vermont hills. Service is friendly and prompt and the food is delicious with fresh ingredients. BUT - the portions are tiny, especially for the appetizer and the dessert. A mouthful at most. It wasn't a tasting menu, and at these New York City prices, very disappointing . I left hungry.

Cloudland, the restaurant, exists on a 1,000 acre working farm where much of their food comes from. As others have mentioned, it's a unique experience! First, you drive up a long dirt road (which takes about 10 minutes and might not be so fun at night in the rain or snow) and park in a barn upon arrival. The restaurant... More

We have been traveling to Woodstock for years and, somehow, missed this little piece of heaven. Cloudland is more than a restaurant- there is something so very Vermonyt about the entire experience. Cloudland is located at the end of a long, beautiful, tree-lined unpaved road. Upon arrival, you park in a large barn and check in at the restaurant. Take... More

This is a farm to table location well off the beaten path---in fact it is about three miles up a semi-paved road. it has a lovely country atmosphere and very fresh fare. We had a rhubarb (and strawberry?) pie for dessert that was served with heavenly ice cream. This is not only a restaurant but an enjoyable destination as well.... More

I really like the idea of farm to table and Cloudland Farm does it well. I felt as though the meal was more like very good home cooking than restaurant food, and that is a compliment. Our salad was very fresh and good but not really special. The chicken braised in red wine was so tender and the root vegetables... More

Went to Cloudland for dinner on May 31. The drive out there is an experience in itself, but it's kind of fun! The farm is stunning. The building in which you dine is lovely as is the porch where you can skip a drink and enjoy the view. We both had the Apple cider, which was delicious. The first course... More

This was a great dining experience. It is not difficult to find, but is slightly a bit off the beaten path. We arrived a few minutes early so we could sit on the porch outside to enjoy the view. Bring a bottle of your favorite wine to enjoy. The only negative I could say, and it is very slight, is... More

After reading the reviews here, I knew we had to head to Cloudland for dinner on our Saturday night in Woodstock. The three course, prix fixe menu was incredible. The way that their menu perfectly demonstrates the farm-to-table concept is completely unique. The meal was excellent. The courses were inventive and well executed. The atmosphere of the farm was without... More

Nothing fancy here, but warm hospitality and truly amazing food. Everything fresh and very flavorful. The nigh we were there fresh ham with root vegetables was on offer along with homemade mustard to go with the ham. Generous portions. Really good.
