I was one of four people eating together at the Cloudland Farm restaurant recently. The three others thought highly of the place while I found it disappointing. The located is lovely, on an attractive county gravel road in Pomfret, Vermont. While there is in fact a farm it is not apparent from or near the restaurant ~ neither animals nor... More

Dear Michael, We are really sorry that you missed "seeing" the farm while you were here for dinner. Perhaps you came to dine when it was almost dark and didn't have a chance to enjoy the porch before dinner. There is definitely a spectacular view of the valley to the south beyond the hayfield that is just off the porch.... More

Overall, 4 or 5 stars for landscape, restaurant ambiance, and cleanliness. Meals were made with fresh produce from the farm or local farms. Portions were small. One entree per night and ours was pork loin stuffed with Swiss chard. Too much fat in pork loin for my wife. Desert was maybe 4 bites. At $47 per person and only one... More

Thank you for taking the time to give feedback on your visit to Cloudland Farm. As you know, we use the freshest, local ingredients in the meals that we serve. We don't receive deliveries from large suppliers, but our chef drives to local farms each week to purchase fresh produce for the week's dinners. We also grow all of the... More

I'm on their email list so i received a notification for pre-ordering Shepard's Pie for take out. I ordered two- one for tonight's dinner and one to freeze. Am I ever glad I got one to save in the freezer! It was delicious! Black angus beef bonanza! Succulent corn and smashed potatoes. Seasoned to perfection! Reasonably priced. Doesn't get much... More

Because the menu is fixed, you are at the mercy of what the chef is cooking. If you're okay with that, then I recommend dining here. The definite highlight of the meal was the entree. The cut of meat itself wasn't great but it was cooked perfectly. They preselected that it be medium rare and it was cooked just right.... More

My boyfriend and I went to New Year's Day brunch at the farm. The food was AMAZING. There was a set menu and we ate everything as fast as it could come out. We did forgot to BYOB but that didn't matter. The quality of the food was outstanding. We really enjoyed it and I'm sure we would go back... More

We traveled the 45 minute drive from Lebanon to Woodstock on a snowy valentines night for our 5 course tasting menu reservation. We parked in the quaint barn and then entered the beautiful dining room... MB: This was a surprise for me, so I had no idea what to expect before hand, but was completely blown away by Cloudland Farms.... More

A wonderful local farm to table dinner - perfect for a relaxing meal after skiing. The food was outstanding, service perfect and ambiance just wonderful. It is a prefix meal based on their farm and local Chef's selection. You can bring your own wine and the corkage is $5.00 per table!!! I LOVE being able to BYO. They are open... More

I took my son there last night (Jan 10th). This is a real gem of a place. Everyone is exceptionally pleasant, helpful, and professional. This is the real deal as far as farm-to-table eating. They take the guess work out of ordering: just like at home, there is only one menu item. They have a new chef since last summer... More

This place may be in the middle of nowhere but damn is it worth it. Make reservations in advance because it is that good. The chef is very unique with his culinary techniques. It was such a pleasure to have food prepared by someone who clearly loves their job. The other thing is you can bring your own wine. I... More
