Wonderful restaurant and reasonably priced! Not in the center of town but just outside of town. Varied menu with tasty specials. A place the locals eat! From the Hwy side of the restaurant it doesnt look like much but eat here and you WILL NOT be dissapointed. We stumbled on it just last week while doing a New England Fall Colors Trip. Excellent service by Thadeus and Rhonda. Want to share with TripAdvisor Community. Husband had a wonderful Steak w Bleu Cheese and I had delicious Boursin Stuffed Chicken. Excellent!!

Misleading, but OK

From the outside this restaurant looked like it would be a gourmet restaurant. However it is billed as a grille and that is what it is. Service was good as was the food given the reasonable price

We splurged and had the fresh steamed lobsters that were advertised on a special sign along the roadway and were not disappointed. We each had the one and quarter pound steamed lobster and they were excellent. As good as any we have had in Maine. Atmosphere is not exactly like a good lobster shanty in Maine but is nice and... After hearing that Spooners had been taken over by new management we decided to give them another try. The menu looked good, unfortunately we found that the decor and lighting have not change at all. I'm not old and I could barely read the menu it was so dark at our table. I made a joke about it to the... More

Service was excellent. Food was very tastey! I had chicken pot pie and my husband had venison shepherds pie. Atmosphere old but clean. We would return. Very reasonable.

Have gone there a few times. Food is very good, prices are also reasonable. It has a nice bar area with pool table which worked great with kids, or more quiet dining area. Service was also good, we arrived with a large group late, and they were very accomodating.

Stopped in for a rest and a nice meal late on a snowy Saturday evening during a long drive. I was pleased that they were open. Parking was convenient even with trailer in tow. Dined at the bar. Nice tavern like atmosphere. Bartender was very friendly and attentive. Prime rib was tasty but a tad past the mid rare that... More

Waiter was friendly and knowledgeable. The food was ok if you stick to the basics. Good burger. The decor dated, but if your looking for an inexpensive meal and you are eating late, this is not a bad choice in the area

My husband and I were in Woodstock for 3 nights over New Years and after eating our New Year's Eve dinner at Spooners, we decided to go back for our other two nights of dining. Each night we dined there we enjoyed our meals (prime rib, burger, Sheppards Pie, wings and grilled chicken). The first night we sat at the... More

We stopped here for dinner after a very long drive to get to Vermont, and we were very happy with the food and the service. Our server was very friendly and chatted while we ordered, then checked in regularly to make sure we were happy. I had prime rib (available on weekends) that was very good, and the rest of... More
