Description: Wonderful restaurant and reasonably priced! Not in the center of town but just outside of town. Varied menu with tasty specials. A place the locals eat! From the Hwy side of the restaurant it doesnt look like much but eat here and you WILL NOT be dissapointed. We stumbled on it just last week while doing a New England Fall Colors Trip. Excellent service by Thadeus and Rhonda. Want to share with TripAdvisor Community. Husband had a wonderful Steak w Bleu Cheese and I had delicious Boursin Stuffed Chicken. Excellent!!

Waiter was friendly and knowledgeable. The food was ok if you stick to the basics. Good burger. The decor dated, but if your looking for an inexpensive meal and you are eating late, this is not a bad choice in the area

My husband and I were in Woodstock for 3 nights over New Years and after eating our New Year's Eve dinner at Spooners, we decided to go back for our other two nights of dining. Each night we dined there we enjoyed our meals (prime rib, burger, Sheppards Pie, wings and grilled chicken). The first night we sat at the... More

We stopped here for dinner after a very long drive to get to Vermont, and we were very happy with the food and the service. Our server was very friendly and chatted while we ordered, then checked in regularly to make sure we were happy. I had prime rib (available on weekends) that was very good, and the rest of... More

Our favorite restaurant was packed so based off the last 3/4 reviews on TripAdvisor we decided to give Spooners a try. Guess we should have scrolled back further. We too felt like we were in a different restaurant than the Spooners that we ate at. One out of the four of us dining had a good meal. I inquired about... More

A group of us from the Inn went to Spooners after an event at the Inn. We danced and had a blast. the locals treated us like home boys and we danced the night away.

Wish we'd discovered this restaurant our first night in Woodstock. If so, we'd have eaten there all 3 nights after some less than stellar meals our first 2 nights. We both had the chicken pot pie which was delicious, huge and presented very nicely in the iron skillet. It came with either a huge salad or delicious soup-pumpkin bisque (delicious)... More

Something for everyone, onion soup with loads of melted cheese, turkey dinner just like moms, stuffing gravy lumpy mashed potatoes! . Your dinner comes with soup or salad (which is a meal itself) . Save room for dessert, always excellent mud pie, mousse, chocolate cake. Oh and don't forget cold beer on tap.

My husband, brother-in-law and I were looking for a reasonably priced place to eat after a day of sight-seeing. After looking at several menus in town that were much more expensive than we wanted to pay, I finally asked a local police officer who was parked on the corner for a good recommendation. We were not disappointed. He called Spooners... More

Having read previous reviews, I feel as if I was in another place. For a start when we entered the restaurant there were no staff to be found. Eventually a waitress appeared and we were told we could sit anywhere. Both of our meals were disgusting. I chose the traditional turkey dinner which was a pile of cheesey (supposedly) mash... More
