We stopped at the Central Street Cafe after finding no good vegan options in our walk through Woodstock. I was really hungry, so I happily ordered their roasted veggie wrap even though it was expensive. The outside tables were nice, the coffee was good, and my husband enjoyed his cinnamon muffin. While the roasted veggie wrap was tasty, it was... More

Had an hour in Woodstock as part of our tour, the last thing I expected was to wait 20 minutes just to get a latte. The staff are very young & really need training. The owner/manager just stood watching proceedings rather than getting behind the counter & helping. One of our group ordered a cappachino & when they took the... More

Several cafés can be found in the downtown area and the first one we visited was The Daily Grind. It's difficult to miss the counter adorned with home-baked pastries and cakes, releasing their sweet aroma into the dining space. That's got to be a bonus. There's a little bit of DIY involved in terms of finding your own seat, going... More

I have very rarely written a review that is this negative - especially since we only had a late afternoon snack. I ordered an iced tea that tasted like someone had smoked a cigarette in it. My husband's gelato (chocolate) was not sweet, lacked smoothness and overall, was not very good. Our friends had hot coffee that was fine, but... More

I live about an hour from Woodstock, and I like to go exploring country roads and little towns, check out cafes and coffee houses whenever I can. Woodstock is a very touristy town and visibly geared toward wealthy visitors unlike any other places in Vermont. There is a luxury resort inn & golf club right in town and big ski... More

Stopped in for a quick breakfast and coffee. My husband and I shared the Orange Pecan scone, which was very generous in size and tasty! That and 2 coffees was $8, so a bit pricey but seems to be in line w other Woodstock-area prices.

The Daily Grind was a great little find in Woodstock to have a light breakfast. The coffee was outstanding. I ordered a pumpkin latte and it was the best I have ever had.

When you have a virtual monopoly and all your customers and will never come back, why would you need to bother about the quality of your food, or your customer service. The quiche I had was truly dreadful. Other customers agreed. Yet they defended it as normal.

There is NO better way to start your day in Woodstock than with a Maple latte and a homemade scone!!! Although I prefer this "lighter" type of breakfast, the Daily Grind offers a much more diverse menu, which changes often.

Stopped here with my husband and 17 month old. The staff was sooo sweet, they event helped make a booster so my son could sit at the table. They made a special one pancake for him and really were very sweet. My pumpkin spice latte was delicious and worthy of the walk from the hotel in the rain. The cranberry... More
