Nice-sized subs

I got an Italian Grinder here this past weekend and it was great. The baked goods looked fabulous although I didn't allow myself any since I overstuffed myself on July 4th. It looks like a cute country store inside and the staff were very welcoming and pleasant.

We were looking forward to a nice lunch after a great hike, but were let down. The turkey panini was over cooked and fell apart in our hands. The oatmeal cookie didn't have enough oatmeal or sugar and tasted very bland. I'm sure they're capable of doing better.

On both my visits to VT we had wonderful experiences the the Village Butcher. Over Thanksgiving, we bought lovely beef for stew that was hand carved and trimmed. Fortunately we had a kitchen that trip. But when we returned next trip, we experienced some of the delicious sandwiches the Village Butcher has to offer. Woodstock, feels like being in a... More

We ended up in Woodstock to walk around the shops, and we happened upon this market/eatery. We got a freshly made panini and a cookie, and both were delicious. Of course, you can buy meat here, as well as Vermont products, but our experience was solely with the deli portion. The staff was very friendly, and they had a little... More

We decided to get sandwiches from the Village Butcher after reading so many positive reviews. The sandwiches were good, very good. I would not say they are the best we have ever had, but they were definitely good and reasonably priced, and let`s not forget fresh...they were super fresh. The shop is super cute, lots of great Vermont made stuff,... More

This is a great local butcher and deli, with homemade sandwiches. Only thing is that they don't have their own 'recommended' sandwiches, you need to build your own, telling them what you'd like. So if you want mayo, salt, pepper, etc., you need to specify each and every ingredient. They have 3-4 kinds of bread, all the usual meats, cheeses,... More

Was hoping for a better selection of cured meats without nitrites and nitrates. Baked goods are okay but seem to be a little heavy on what I imagine is shortening. Friendly staff who care about there job and are knowledgeable about their product. Very open to suggestions. Pretty good prices, they just didn't offer what I hoped to find at... More

My wife and I were looking for a good coffee place in Woodstock. They have outside seating and offer a range of good sandwich and cakes as well as good filter coffee.

This is my favorite place for a sandwich in Woodstock. They are made fresh right in front of you from their deli choices. My one and only favorite (because why should I try anything else) is the Turkey BLT on pumpernickel. The bread is soooooo fresh and it's a fat sandwich. They also have lots of made up salads, bakery... More

Found this place by walking around Woodstock and went in to order some sandwiches and bring back to our room. We were loving every bite !! This place is wonderful. We then read the reviews and realized that a lot of other people have already found this place and love it as well. It is our favorite place to go... More
