Bartender Was Wonderful - We returned the next night!

We are looking forward to our return to Woodstock - a lovely village in Vermont. We enjoy casual dining at a bar - when the bartender is engaging and helpful. He made super recommendations - both in terms of suggested food and wines. The atmosphere is very beautiful - perfect combination of... read more

Had a great dinner with server Joanna. The halibut and the Ancient Grains dinners were very good. Try the local whiskey - Whistle Pig. The Inn has nice grounds and gardens for a walk - close to the village green and town too.

food was good but expensive. Service was good. Had the special soup, half sandwhich and salad. Nice plate of food. Just wish restaurants went out of their way to help you celebrate certain things. Went their for my 15th anniversary. Just a little extra touch can go a long way.

We have been to Woodstock twice and to this restaurant twice. We wanted to go a third time but it was closed for a private event. The food has always been outstanding, service great and Vinny is the host with the most. On the wall there is some great artwork from local artists. We have purchased two and really enjoy... More

The food was fresh and nicely prepared, but the menu was a bit boring. Good service and pleasant atmosphere.

Food was delicious on first visit but having the right server ( Terry ) made us want to go back. There is a new chef and the halibut with custom fiddle head side was incredible; we shared, enough for 2 with salad. Second visit good but not as good, second chef. Place is quiet and lovely; turn down the AC.... More

The restaurant itself was very nice, the menu selection was varied and I was torn between ordering a few different things. I ended up getting the gnocchi appetizer, and the sirloin entree. The appetizer was average, the gnocchi itself was homemade and had it not been slightly overcooked, I think I would've enjoyed it a lot more. The entree was... More

Super friendly service, food was out very quickly, quantity was great, and kids were very welcomed. Our meals were included in the special we had with the hotel, but I found the prices to be very reasonable.

We ate here fir two breakfasts and can't say enough about how wonderful it is to have the fresh, local foods on the menu. I am not a sausage lover, but had to try the "local links" and they were delicious. The fruit plate was fabulous with the map,e citrus yogurt....and a platter-full (easily for two or three to share!).... More

The restaurant itself is very nice. The staff was pleasant. I had the lobster bisque - if you're looking for lobster stop looking it's not there not even a piece. To management's credit they took it off the bill. Here's the thing it tasted very good but I would never call it lobster bisque, I don't know what I would... More
