El Castillo restaurant who is owned by Pernilla is the absolute best restaurant in Benahavis. The menu at El Castillo is always an excellent gastronomic experience, and we just love the new tasting menu 12 plates for 12 eur. El Castillo is our Noma in Costa Del Sol. I am amazed how Pernilla can combine the top quality of food,... More

The owner of this restaurant went more than she could offer to her customer. She went far and beyond our expectation. We enjoyed the food and were satisfied with how they served us. They made us very comfortable. If there is a word above excellence.

Principal attraction: a nice short menu of very good & interesting food. Most other places in Benahavis have pages and pages - easy to get overwhelmed by choice and suspicious that any of it will be particularly fresh or done well. Everything was definitely fresh and cooked excellently. Some of the flavour combinations were really unexpected but delicious. Secondary attraction:... More

There are a lot of great restaurants in Benahavis and El Castillo is one of the very best. We visited late afternoon on the 23rd November and had a fantastic warm welcome & superb food. What more could you want . Will definitely be back

Those that get the chance to dine in Benahavis should and not just for one night as there are some fantastic restaurants to choose from...I've tried them all. But El Castillo offers the full fine dining experience, perhaps even better in the cooler months with chandeliers hanging from the twinkling marquee. The ambience is only topped by the food, I... Visit to El Castillo wasn´t about quick bite to eat. The owner, Pernilla, was extremely knowledgeable and professional in offering advice about local food and wine. Her warm, friendly personality made our experience one of the best in dining out. 10 out of 10!

This charming restaurant deserves some praise. I ate in el Castillo in August and had a delicious goats cheese and beet root salad. It was extremely imaginative and delicious. The attention to detail made it clear that the chef took pride in the food he served. The hostess and owner was very professional and very passionate about all dishes on... More

This was for us, a disaster evening and all the more disappointing because it was my wife's 65th birthday. We wanted something special and relied on the TA number 1 review to select it. I'm sorry to say TA gets in badly wrong on this occasion for us. We've been to Benahavis several times before and been to some very... More

Expensive for no apparent reason (profiteering). Pork cheeks still frozen in parts. Anchovies appeared to be from a tin, they tasted the same. Very nice bread roll and complimentery spoonful of soup in massive (mainly empty) bowl.
