We are glad we found this restaurant and were intrigued by their description of their style of food. We were greeted in a very friendly way by a charming hostess who took trouble to explain the menu and offered hints on the choice of wine to have with each item. Very knowledgeable and entertaining. Food was excellent and one dish... More

I visit Benahavis regularly and always eat in this restaurant as it is in my opinion the best! I loved the new menu as it offered an exciting range of dishes and flavours drawn from Spain and Scandinavia. Love it!

Eating here is a wonderful experience, in an amazing, romantic setting, with excellent food, wine and a very lovely owner Pernilla who is the perfect Host and helps to make your visit a special occasion, one to remember. Don't miss out, book a table now!

This is by far the best place to eat in Benahavis....the service is amazing and the food is delicious!! I would recommend time and time again. We ate in a few other places but returned to El Castillo on our final night as nowhere else offered such a lovely atmosphere, the other places were adequate and offered typical holiday resort... This is simply the best restaurant in the glorious village of Benahavis. You will not eat better than this either here or most likely further afield. The Staff are amazing, knowledgable, charming, attentive and friendly, nothing is too much trouble. The concept is simple 12 dishes priced at 12 euros each. Have one, have three dependent on your appetite (you... More

What a restaurant. Nice that its different from all the other restaurants in Benahavis. Very high quality food, friendly efficient staff, fantastic wine. The best restaurant in the town. try it while it's still there as I hear the locals don't like their success.

We have been meaning to go for a while now and it was well worth the wait. The food was just what we needed and the hosts absolutely made it. Great with the kids and very laid back but helpful. This is ten times the restaurant in comparison to most others in the village who are just milking the gravy... More

My first restaurant review, but just had to this time. My second visit to this lovely restaurant. If course the setting is great after all it's benehavis on a August evening. The service is exceptional and god they know their stuff. But the food is the show stopper. Having eaten everywhere from Dubai Michelin star restaurants to What London's best... More

A super evening here: a romantic evening in a lovely peaceful secluded courtyard - in the centre of the action in benhavis but with a special charming feel - delicious food, lots of interesting things on the menu, attentive service (including fresh mint tea on the house when we has to wait for our taxi through no fault of the... We had a mediocre dinner in this restaurant and actually would have forgotten it, by the time, we walked out. Strange portions lead to very hungry and later on very much poorer guests, we would recommand to stay away unless you enjoy being cheated. What was worth, we went for a drink and after some time returned walking passed this... More

The dog is never never in the kitchen. Between the service area and the kitchen is a wall about 1,2 meters high. Our french bulldog is 0,3 meters high. The dog has never ever been in the kitchen. What you have written is not correct. Peter More
