Looking for a quaint lunch spot?

Jenny's is on the first floor of the historic Masonic Lodge at the north end of town. Jenny herself greeted and served us. The place is fun with eclectic tableware and room décor. The atmosphere was great and the food excellent. Not a lot on the menu, but you can tell it is all made from scratch - and the coffee is great. The employees have local knowledge and tales to tell.

Jenny's is a locally run restaurant that serves breakfast and lunch daily except for Wednesdays. Good for with nice staff. Jenny uses local produce when available and is a nice place to take a break while traveling up Hwy 395.

Excellent restaurant, the host was really welcoming, a real family run restaurant. One of the best breakfasts l have had since starting the road trip. Slightly more expensive than others but the quality speaks for itself. They prefer cash but nothing wrong with this. Reminds me of a family home when u walk in, which is really different from most... I was in Independence for the day and hadn't had breakfast yet. I had noticed Jenny's signs as we passed by. While my daughter was at Jury duty I went on the next block and went into Jenny's for some breakfast. It was already 10:30 but she was still serving breakfast. I was greeted by none other than Jenny herself,... More

Jenny's Cafe is not pretending to be a temple of gastronomic arts; rather it's a typical, old-fashioned small town cafe...and it is a good one. Larger (but not obscene) servings of eggs and delicious breakfast link sausage, breakfast burritos, etc. Jenny is a very nice person, and will try to make you happy. Many locals eat here, and there is... More

Expensive...55.00 for 4 people. 3.00 can of soda. Food looks and tasted nothing like photos. Ant problems while sitting at table...roach, dead thankfully by high chairs... never again. If they were located around other restaurants or in a larger town they wouldn't survive....gross!!!! This is the first time I wrote one of these....that's how passionately I feel how bad it... More

First of all let me say that this review is from August 2012. We had a wonderful breakfast here...country fried steak, home fries, and eggs over easy. Service was fine then. No complaints but that was two years ago.

Only 1 waitress at Jenny's on the house 4th of July. We seemed to be a bother when we asked about baked goods, but she rattled them off and was happy we made a quick decision. The blueberry scone was very undercooked, the cherry pie was flat. No refills on coffee. The waitress only returned to give us the check... More
