Jenny's Cafe is not pretending to be a temple of gastronomic arts; rather it's a typical, old-fashioned small town cafe...and it is a good one. Larger (but not obscene) servings of eggs and delicious breakfast link sausage, breakfast burritos, etc. Jenny is a very nice person, and will try to make you happy. Many locals eat here, and there is... More

Expensive...55.00 for 4 people. 3.00 can of soda. Food looks and tasted nothing like photos. Ant problems while sitting at table...roach, dead thankfully by high chairs... never again. If they were located around other restaurants or in a larger town they wouldn't survive....gross!!!! This is the first time I wrote one of these....that's how passionately I feel how bad it... More

First of all let me say that this review is from August 2012. We had a wonderful breakfast here...country fried steak, home fries, and eggs over easy. Service was fine then. No complaints but that was two years ago.

Only 1 waitress at Jenny's on the house 4th of July. We seemed to be a bother when we asked about baked goods, but she rattled them off and was happy we made a quick decision. The blueberry scone was very undercooked, the cherry pie was flat. No refills on coffee. The waitress only returned to give us the check... More

There were 6 in our group. Everyone enjoyed their breakfast. The breakfast burrito was outstanding. I love sausage and their Sausage was one of the best I've had. Jenny actually served us. It's located in the old mason lodge -- it's always fun to be in a historic building.

Jennys is only open for breakfast & lunch. The portions and selections were amazing. We had the chicken fried steak and eggs and it was fantastic. The value for the food for a PCT hiker is great! It was like having 2 meals in one! Thanks!

Two friends and I stopped by Jenny's Cafe after a weekend of fishing near Big Pine. My family and I have eaten breakfast here on a couple of occasions and found the food good, especially the coffee. Well, we arrived on a Sunday morning and were seated immediately. Menus, water and coffee were delivered quickly, as was the food we... More

Jenny's is our current favorite lunch stop on US 395 between LA and Mammoth. They serve possibly the best BLT in the eastern Sierra. Grilled ham and cheese had hunks of ham cut off a real ham, not thin-sliced packaged ham. Everything home cooked and yummy. Friendly staff full of local knowledge. Nothing fancy here, but lots of fun.

My wife, daughter and I recently stopped in Jenny's Cafe on the way home from Mammoth and had a terrific meal, some nice conversation with the owner and even learned a bit of history about the building too (it's the home of the local Freemasons), while we had a tasty lunch in a quaint and authentic place that didn't at...
