I wanted to try the beef and barley soup, but they were out.

upscale pub food, you could almost call this a steak house, but they serve more than steak. I really wanted to try the beef and barley soup but, because my business team didn't get there until 9 pm, they were out. I will go back next trip

My husband ordered the London broil open face. It was like eating shoe leather. It had a burnt taste. I ordered the smallest cut of prime rib. About half of the 7 oz portion was fairly tasty, though salty. The other half had a lot of gristle and fat. I ordered the vegetable of the day, broccoli, and it was... More

Extremely greasy food. The calamari was overdone and chewy. The chicken I had was hard and the sauce was oily. I felt sick after I ate.

This was our first time at this establishment , know to most locally as a great place to hang out and have drinks. Our dinner experience was very sad....Appetizers rubbery calamari, greasy spinach dip.....Meals not to impressed had better frozen tv dinners. Barely seasoned, meats dry or over cooked, and fettuccine alfredo was soupy wet. The best part of the... More

For a suburban sports bar on the "strip" this place has a hometown feel. Friendly servers, typical pub food; lots of TVs, you know the drill. As these places go, this is a cut above the average.

We were staying in Manassas for three days and ate dinner here twice. Normally we prefer to try something new every night we travel but the chili and the hot wings were so good we had to come back! I did not have the hot wings the first night at City Grille but my wife told me how good they... More

After an overnight stay in Manassas, we wanted to get Sunday breakfast. All the usual places (Bob Evans, Cracker Barrel, etc) had long waits so when we drove past City Grill, we decided to give it a try. So glad we did! We got seated immediately even though it was Father's Day. They had a wonderful selection on a brunch... More

City Grille definitely did not meet our expectations. Our party of 6 had attended Vintage Va. Wine Fest and decided that since we received good food and service last year that we would walk to City Grille;not our best decision.I ordered broiled stuffed salmon, but received stuffed shrimp. Our server misunderstood my order and had it remade. After waiting about 10 minutes,i received slightly... We chose this based on fairly good TripAdvisor reviews. I was honestly a bit worried when at 6 pm on a Thursday the place was nearly empty. But I can't complain about the food, the service or the price. Two of the party has Mexican style entrees off the special menu. I had the Tilapia Picata special which was excellent.... More
