Manager has gone back to UK and it seems that the pub will have to build a good reputation for drinks and food and entertainment. At present there is no food and the prices of drinks have gone up so watch this space..

We stopped off here on way to a boat trip and wished we had more time to spend there now! Had such a laugh with the people there it was a shame to leave. If only every pub was as welcoming as this, look forward to returning on our next Malta holiday......and for our our camel ride and a trip... More

Very clean and friendly pub run by Arnott from Holland . Very well decorated with rattan furniture and a lovely place to sit outside and have a drink and watch the world go by. Meals are excellent with an extensive menu. They do very good breakfasts and Sunday lunch for E9.50 for three courses.

I found Route 66 when I went back to the penthouse I had just rented. I cannot think of anything negative to say about this bar/restaurant, yes it is small but that makes it more intimate. The staff are great, Thank you Kate & Arnould you made me feel very welcome as did the rest of your customers over the... More

You just walk by, stop at the tables on the pavement, figure to stop for a drink and an unexpensive meal that changes every day and before you know it, you made friends with the other guests, got invited to a birthday party the next day, heard how the owners are willing to prepare Sangria for the birthday "kid" and... What a pleasant surprise this place was! It is only a small, unassuming pavement bar/restaurant, in a fairly quiet, back street area (by the back of San Pawls Hotel). Lovely welcome from the owners, and the gaggle of regulars outside was a good sign. Beautifully prepared meals, with lovely sauces etc. Good prices and massive portions.
