We had lunch at Coccorone in Montefalco. Absolutely worth the visit. Located in one of the side streets. Great service. Many had the t-bone steak, but we ended up with more excellent pasta.

This restaurant is the hit of the lovely town of Montefalco. The service is excellent (also English is spoken well) and the menu features many local specialties and wines. The renowned Chianini beef is the main ingredient in a number of dishes and highly recommended. The wine list of course includes the refined Sagrantino's from the region but also offers... More

After visiting a lot of restaurants in Perugia, Trevi, Assisi, Montepulciano... - this is the best choice to go when you are in the Perugia area. Food is amazing and service also. We had Pasta and the famous bisteca fiorentina - Great! They have also a very nice Collection of wines especially from Montefalco. Go there!

My wife and I are there today for lunch. We both loved the setting, the bread and crackers (Rosemary crackers to die for) I had pappardelle al sagrantino- pappardelle cooked in the Montefalco wine the area is known for, with some porcini mushroom pieces. It was outstanding. My wife chose baccala all'uvetta, cod fish with raisins and a tomato sauce.... More

We ended up in Montefalco because we only had a limited amount of time and it was time for lunch. Both my son and I consulted favored sites(Trip Advisor for me and Michelin for him) and arrived at this restaurant and it was sensational. We dined inside because the temperature had dipped to 66 and the room was warm and... More

As we were told "not to miss" this place by my cooking associate Lidia Bastianich, we were not disapointed. From Antipasto through Primi and Secondo, we had prefectly prepared vegatables and pasta tinted purple from the Sagrantino wine used in many dishes. Expertly grilled meats followed with glasses of Arnaldo Caprai Sagrantino. A truly great meal

I agree with others on here, the service made the dinner a stressful event. One of the waiters said that they only had half the staff, but were still full. One waiter would ask us one question, only for another to ask the same 15 mins later. You would ask for something and then have to remind, taking into account... More

We had lunch at Coccorone and were pleased that we had returned for a second time in as many years. The outside space is pleasant and service is excellent. The pappardelle al sagrentino is the house speciality and did not disappoint; it was delicious and we also had tagliatelle with cinghale which was equally good. We shared the lamb chops... More

I speak rudimentary Italian and have no trouble communicating with non-English speakers everywhere in Italy except for this restaurant. It was a struggle. The service was very sketchy. The pecorino with walnuts and honey, the pastas and the house wine were very good. Then came the steak. 57 euro and one of the toughest pieces of meat I have ever... More

A very nice restaurant in Montefalco. They specialise in grilled meat - the fiorentina beef (t-bone) is excellent. It is not a large restaurant, but when it fills up, the waiters (too few?) are very busy and limited available. This creates a "stressed" environment, and we the understood why we longed back to L'Alcimista.
