Within a mile of all the downtown action of the state capitol and the medical college, Tarrant's is a great place to relax and meet up with colleagues and friends. Oh, and the food is great!

We went to Tarrants the night of our wedding. We had a small ceremony with our parents and two friends and decided that Tarrants would be a nice celebration dinner. So when we made our reservation, we requested to be in the back room, which has a little more room for us to celebrate and would possibly be quieter than... More

Was told by locals that we had to have dinner here. So we did! And enjoyed it immensely. Took 15 minutes to get seated despite having a reservation, but this place is packed on a Saturday night! I recommend you avoid the weekends if that doesn't work for you! After ordering, the server promptly delivered our wine, which was of... More

Seated immediately within a very busy but absolutely lovely setting. Jamie our waiter was quickly to our service, so attentive all evening. Will say the She - Crab soup was out of this world. Probably some of the best I've ever had! Everything on the menu was healthy, well prepared. Most enjoyable will be back again soon

Place was packed but reservation right on time. Surprisingly good service in spite of crowd. Amazing food. Best pizza i have had. We also had grilled grouper. A wow experience!

Started with the Pear and Goat Cheese salad which was very tasty. Ordered the chicken pot pie. It's temperature was extremely hot; it's taste was decent. It was basically chicken (and celery) with peppered gravy in a pie crust. The pie crust was nicely cooked with a crisp texture. Decent wine selection. Lovely decor...use to be an old pharmacy with... We eat often at Tarrant's, most often for lunch but also sometimes for dinner. The food is consistently good. The garlic bread is sinful! And they make excellent soups, far better than most restaurants in Richmond.

I suggested to go to the new west end location. My friends were very impressed with their dining experience.
