Yum!

We made a reservation, so we were able to get a table immediately. Our server Jamie was wonderful and helped explain the menu. The fried oysters were great, but didn't have a ton of flavor. I probably wouldn't get those again. We had the amberjack, soft shell crab, and the rockfish. The rockfish... read more

Although a little confusing as to how to check in we were seated quickly for our reservation. The food was terrific. The wait person was great. Marked down from a 5 star only because it took almost half hour to get our appetizer, but the meal came quickly afterwards when we explained we had a show to attend. Both appetizers... More

What should have been an hour dinner turned into a three hour disaster thanks to poor and slow service. The food was definitely not worth the wait and everything was overly salted.

We chose here as it was so high up on Tripadvisors list. It was the right thing to do although we nearly didn't go in. The neighbourhood did unsettle us. I'm really glad we weren't put off! Shannon, our waitress, was outstanding. She led us through the menu and helped us choose what would suit us. The food was amazing!... More

Overall we had a very positive experience. The restaurant was extremely busy, and the noise level was very loud. The wait staff were extremely helpful and very knowledgeable. The food presentation was very trendy, for our taste, the flavors were a little too diverse, but overall we enjoyed our visit.

Visited upon recommendation from Richmond Marriott about 5 blocks away. Perhaps the neighbouring shops and establishment are not to the same pedigree but this is a haven. It big a nice dining room. Overall it is classy but unpretentious in presentation and serving. I had the wings (fantastic) and the blacked sole (even better). Would recommend !

Great place to eat, interior is very comfortable, service and food was very good. If your from small town America (as we are) the street is a bit off putting, but don't be uncomfortable as this is a great place to stop.

Lunch was delicious. Service was excellent. I had the watermelon appetizer and the Reuben. My husband had the ribs and my daughter had the steak and cheese sub. I had the almond creme brûlée and they put a candle in it for my birthday. I highly recommend this establishment.

The atmosphere at Tarrant's is very relaxed, as is the menu. Waitstaff is capable and helpful. the location is convenient to downtown and state government buildings. The chicken and waffles is great, as is the macaroni and cheese.
