I eat out in Richmond a great deal and take pride trying a number of different eateries. Without peer, Tarrant's is my favorite location in Richmond. A great variety on the menu that can please any palate; an atmosphere that has been carefully constructed to make you feel special; and an amazingly team oriented service staff that provide prompt and... Not in the greatest area of town, but within walking distance from the Jefferson. Great waitress, cozy & relaxing ambiance, wonderful meal, no rush, prices reasonable. My daughter had salmon & I had scallops - both cooked to perfection. Definitely would eat here again.

Ambience: FIrst off, you have to appreciate the gorgeous chandeliers. We got to sit under one of the really nice ones, but each table has their own. The restaurant is a lot larger than when you first expect from walking in. Follow the bar around and they've taken over a second store. I really like the old pharmacy mirror behind... More

It looks unassuming on the outside, but go in and you will love it's charm. There is a wide variety on the menu so a family should have no problem finding something for everyone. During busy times I recommend making a reservation via Open Table. There is a parking lot close to the restaurant that you can enter via the... More

Tarrant's has become a downtown favorite in Richmond. The daily specials are quite good and you can rely on a tasty meal regardless of what you order. The ambience bespeaks a warm neighborhood gathering place and the service is usually quite attentive ( there have been a couple of exceptions in my experience, but those are definitely exceptions). Parking is... More

Great suppers, but best part of the place is the gorgeous bar! They have an amazing happy hour with great prices on drinks and apps.

My husband, myself, and friends wanted to get out of the west end & try something new. We were pleasantly surprised. There's something on the menu for everyone! The food was fabulous. The wait staff were awesome. The food was brought out in a timely manner. We all enjoyed the atmosphere. Highly recommend.

Our hotel recommended this restaurant as it is in walking distance. The food did not disappoint. For the first time ever, my husband daughter and I all got fish tacos. They got all tilapia and I got a mix of three-- tilapia, chicken, and shrimp. Everything was fresh and tasty. We had a very late lunch at around 3pm and... More
