One of the best pizzas I have ever had. Highly suggest trying the white pizza and the sausage and peppers.

8 1/2 is amazing! The pizza is one of the best in Richmond. Keep in mind, this is a takeout Italian restaurant, even though occasionally they have a table inside or out on the sidewalk. Lots of great food, but we usually get the pizza. One pizza can be eaten by one person! My favorite is the red pizza, with... More

On my one and only visit I waited an hour and 45 mins for two 12-inch pizzas and one order of pasta. Only after I ordered and paid (abt. $30) did I realize the Monument AV race was the next day...I hope my excruciating wait was due to the locals carbo loading. If this is the usual wait, I won't... Delicious pizza - crust on the thin side, simple topping options, very tasty sauce. The ingredients are better quality than the typical pizza parlor. We live nearby and order pizza for pick up from time to time, and have never been disappointed. I wasn't as impressed with the subs - thick roll with little meat. We haven't tried any of... More

After reading all of the glorious reviews I just had to check this place out. After all, I know a good piece of pizza! I've lived in Chicago, but also have tried everything from home made, to NY Style, deep dish, oven baked, you name it. So, here goes... in one sentence: I paid a lot of money for almost... More

If you want a delicious, "authentic" Italian heros, this is the place. Its caryout only. All ingredients are imported from Italy. The menu consists of a handful of subs, a few pizza choices, and some entrees. The roasted port hero is my personal favorite.

We have eaten at 8 1/2 several times, and each time we have tried new items. Loved everything they had! We usually try their seasonal specials, such as butternut squash soup. Wonderful. They have a creative cook who tries new desserts and other dishes. Worth trying! We definitely recommend this little neighborhood take-out restaurants to all! Great food!

This place as I understand is in the Edo's Squid/ Mama zu's family. That alone is reason enough to know that the food is GOOD. Pesonal fave...broccoletti and spaghetti carbonara. The canoli's are good too.

This place has the best pizza in Richmond. I don't know what it is but their red sauce pizza is great. I used to love the white pizza but they changed the recipe a couple of years back and we only get the red now. Can't really speak to the other menu items because we keep going back for the... More
