This was a family outing with a Priest friend of ours saying , " you must come and join me for a wonderful Italian meal". He was so right the salad was perfectly presented with arugula and squid with some white beans. I had a dish of pasta I ate for two days. My brother in law had spaghetti with... More

It was my first visit and my last visit to Edo's. The wait was 1 1/2 hours, but that was our choice, and while our party of five was semi waited on by our waitress (we had to flag down other wait staff for things our waitress neglected to deem worthy for us...like a bread basket etc), the final straw... And yes I do but don't go there for your first date. I'm in Richmond a couple of times a year so it's always fun to try new restaurants. Edo's Squid has a straight forward menu and so far everything I've had was delicious. The calamari appetizer was huge, perfectly fried and a meal in itself. My friend had the... More

This was my third time visiting this establishment. The food was wonderful. It's a unique little hole in the wall. They accommodated one of my friends that has a ton of food allergies and she was able to enjoy a great meal out. I hope to go back soon!

I recently went to this well-known eatery next to the VCU campus. I may have selected a bad time...7pm on a Friday. It was packed...literally. In the inner space of the restaurant the tables are joined together so there is little/no space between dining groups. The wood floors make for noise from foot traffic and moving chairs and tables. Plastic... More

You won't believe it is a restaurant, no markings on the glass door that leads you to a flight of stairs and the stairway doesn't smell great--continue the adventure because when you open what looks like a broom closet door you enter the most popular restaurant in Richmond or so it seems. People are standing and waiting for a table,... More

My wife and I went here last Friday evening..the first time in a long time. We've dined here many, many times in the past but have stayed away because of the crowded and noisy environment. Unfortunately, that's still the case. The food; however, is as good as ever. Another plus is that they usually have a good selection of fresh... More

A fan district restaurant that you need to search for. Parking's terrible, as is most of the Fan. The building front gives little indication of the restaurant upstairs and the steep narrow flight of stairs up reaches the entry door that has cleaning gear (brooms) hung on it. But inside is a nice restaurant with great food. Reservations recommended, though... More

We had read all sorts of negative things about this restaurant, i.e. the staff is rude, it is dirty, etc. That was not my experience. We saw a busy staff working very hard and efficiently to keep a busy restaurant running. We never had any problem catching our waitress's, someone else's, attention when we needed them. When we arrived the... More

My husband and I came here on a Saturday so I assume it was one of the busiest days of the week. We moved to Richmond from Boston so we were really craving some authentic Italian food. We are used to places that are loud, busy, crowded, with no reservations, and long waits. For instance, it is tough to even... More
