Nice discovery, tucked away and hidden, upstairs eatery. Parking is tough to find and the food is good but has potential to be great. Place was packed on a Sunday night so I can only imagine how insane it'd be on a Friday, but we had made reservations, so the wait was short. The monkfish was good but a bit... More

In town for the 2014 Monument Ave 10K, we were looking for a new (to us) eatery in Richmond. Found Edo's Squid and made a reservation for 8 pm. Got there and found the room packed. Waited 15 minutes for our table to be cleared. The room was noisy... jet plane noisy. Let me repeat: jet plane noisy. Asked the... More

We had some great pasta and eggplant parmesian before a VCU basketball game. Lots of energy in the restaurant, great service. Loved it.

I lived in Richmond 2005-07 and ate here very often back then. It was wonderful then and has proven to be wonderful still. Two lunches on my current trip and more meals to come. The pasta - my favourite is the penne carbonara - is terrific, but the signature calamari is the best I have had anywhere in the US.... More

We went for my mother-in-law.'s birthday-6 adults with 3 children. Even though we had a reservation, we had a long wait. Hostess was snobby, server treated us with contempt every time we bothered to flag him down because we needed more water-had to flag him down because he didn't bother to check on us. The most RIDICULOUS RULE- that's right... More

I love this restaurant. The only reason I didn't give it a 5 is because of the noise level...it can be very loud when the place if full...as it usually is unless you go early. I have never had a bad dish here. The fish is good and fresh, the pasta is cooked perfectly and the sauces delicious. It's the... More

What a surprise, we had the best eggplant parmesan and rockfish we have ever eaten anywhere. The thinly sliced eggplant cooked in layers is very unusual, and the marinara sauce is excellent. We watched the chef filet a whole fresh rockfish and had to try it also. Fantastic!

I had a business meeting and Edo's was recommended. Great food! I had the rock fish cooked with olive oil, salt and pepper - to perfection! Yum! My guest had a pasta dish she said was delicious. No problems substituting a salad for my pasta side - nice waitress. It really looks like a dive from the street, and oh... More

Edo's has been around for as long as I can remember and yet, I never went (I live here). I'm not super "into" hyped up restaurants. I've heard it's loud, service stinks and food is great. So my family went one night in December. You go upstairs to what appears to be a dead-end- the only door is one that... More

Have dined here several times and food is still as excellent as the first time. Fresh, unadulterated, consistently good fish entrees. My veal scaloppine was perfectly thin and tender. If you love garlic, this is the place to go. When servers are not busy, they are peeling garlic at the bar. Place is not fancy and service is only average,... More
