Good But Too Salty

We have enjoyed the our two visits to Edo Squid, but it is just too salty for me. We had a wonderful waitress and since I read complaints of service there, I was checking around. Everyone seemed well cared for and every staff member seemed very polite. Their food is good. The fried squid was... read more

My wife and I ate here with a friend after years of him saying "you have to eat here". No surprise, he was right. We started the evening with broccoli rabe, delicious cold squash salad in a tomato base, and a an incredible squid, white beans and arugula. It was all incredibly delicious. For our main course I ordered the... More

Edo's is a regular in our lunch and dinner rotation. Serving excellent Italian food in a casual environment. The menu on the wall changes daily; the regular items are on the printed menu. I've never had anything that isn't excellent, so it's really a matter of taste. The portions are extremely generous and it's easy to split a dish (and... More

My boyfriend and I had dinner on a Saturday night. The ambiance is great. The portions are huge! We loved the salad we ordered with buffalo mozzarella, but our entrees were nothing special. We felt they lacked flavor. We had our leftover entree's packaged to go as we hoped we could doctor up our leftover pasta at home to make... More

Yes, it is a weird walk inside and up the stairs, but it is worth it. We had reservations and were promptly seated. This was my third time there in about a year. My daughter took me there, again. The fish plates looked awesome, but I had the spaghetti and sausage (at the advice of the nice waitress, I was wondering... More

The wife and I wanted to get a quick bite to eat for lunch before checking in to our hotel. The place has a sign that must be a hundred years old (tatered and faded). The place next door was vacant and we weren't sure it was still open for business. Fortunately I had just interacted with the website. So... More

Edo’s Squid is tucked away on the upper level of a building near VCU’s Monroe Park Campus. The signage and building exterior are generally unassuming and look somewhat rundown. A long staircase leads to the restaurant itself (as a note, those with mobility issues may have some difficulty with the stairs). The restaurant is simply and cleanly decorated. Open brick... More

This little restaurant is excellent. I'm a picky eater and I was extremely happy with the food. Fresh pasta was outstanding. The service was great also. I suggest going here!

Very good food and quick service. I had the Spaghetti and Crab, and would rate it excellent. The place is a little loud and the wait staff does not smile, but you're going there for great food and not to make friends. Strongly recommend.
