My husband and I came here on a Saturday so I assume it was one of the busiest days of the week. We moved to Richmond from Boston so we were really craving some authentic Italian food. We are used to places that are loud, busy, crowded, with no reservations, and long waits. For instance, it is tough to even... More

I had heard great things about Edo's Squid from so many people so I was excited to bring my parents there when they visited me in Richmond for the first time. Unfortunately the dinner was pretty bad from start to finish. First, we couldn't even find the place for a while... its located above another restaurant and doesn't even have... More

Well after visiting Edo's for close to 8 years, I've finally called it quits! There is only so long you can put up with being treated like garbage, just for the delicious food, before anyone would have to avoid this place! It always seems to be something. For most, it's just not being acknowledged for some time when arriving, not... More

I have simple taste and had this not been a business dinner I probably would not have went here. This was the neatest experience, great food, huge portions and fair price. Very different atmosphere and the staff was nice but not sappy sweet and oddly enough I liked it. Really glad I went and it is a neat place to... More

I read the reviews from another site. I usually like to primarily rate the food and dislike when others focus on other aspects of the dining experience. I could care less if the wine is served in a small water glass, I don't need an interior designer to select the perfect color scheme. I am Italian & I love food,... More

After having so many friends rave about this place, decided to make a trip to Richmond to check it out. First of all, do not let the location discourage you. It is located down a small street and when you walk up the stairs to the restaurant, you may wonder if you are in the right place. DO NOT LEAVE!... More

I've lived in Richmond for a few years and for some reason it took me that long to get to Edo's! Now that I've been I've gone back and recommended it and just loved it! Small menu which makes it (a little) easier to choose. Don't miss this one!

Our party of three chose Edo's Squid on a recommendation from a friend who knew we had had eaten at Mama Zu's. We enjoyed Edo's Squid even more than Mama Zu's. The food and service were fantastic. The atmosphere is perfect for a couple or larger group. The tuna with the soy marinade is to die for.

This is our favorite restaurant in Richmond. We Order: squid, arugula, & lemon appetizer (eat with the bread/oil/balsamic vinegar); for entrees we like - the whole red snapper, if you don't want a whole fish, the rockfish is nice, the lamb chops are delicious and served with white beans. Reservations: We usually make a reservation, but sometimes if you go... More

Such a great concept, super delicious Italian food and not too much choice. I LOVE the option of only spaghetti or ziti and the simple sauces to choose from. It was so hard to make a decision! The rabe and ricotta with garlic combo was one of the best, also my simple marinara with ricotta added, they called Rosa, (not... More
