Can be very good

I find Bacchus a little streaky. Sometimes their food and service are great. Other times I feel they cut corners with quality. Still it is a very cozy romantic atmoshpere with a lot of upside. If you order their pasta, the bill can be quite reasonable even for larger groups.

Love this restaurant! Besides having an incredible pasta menu, it offers over 20 small plates at a very reasonable cost $6-11 with everything from a white bean dip to a goat cheese salad to a portabella mushroom with red peppers and cheese. Wine list is wonderful and varied. Custom service is extremely efficient. Great evening.

I am visiting from the Channel Islands. My sister and I went there Sunday night (Easter), and what an excellent place. The food is fresh, well seasoned, and so tasty. The atmosphere is wonderful, and the booths are comfortable. Tara, our waitress, was charming, efficient, and full of sound advice. Bacchus is very reasonably priced, and portions are generous. Go there.

Enjoyed meeting friends here for a wonderful meal. The portions are large so we easily split the beet salad with goat cheese. My husband had the scallops which he loved and I had the duck breast with port and portobello mushrooms! Outstanding! Only one server for the night so she was a little hectic.

Very much a casual neighborhood feel to Bacchus, but with a much more interesting and upscale menu than you would expect. Reasonably priced and great service from a very engaging staff. It's also a comfortable place to dine alone or have a drink at the bar.

I had dinner at this restaurant and ordered the scallops. The dish had a funny after taste and the fish tasted undercooked. I sent it back with the server and asked that she has her manager check on it. I did not ask for anything instead, I was going to eat my side dishes and my leftover appetizer. A minute... More

We had never been to this restaurant so decided to try it during Restaurant Review. Participating restaurants normally offer 3 apps, 3 to 5 entrees and 3 desserts but Bacchus had about a dozen app choices! We had an excellent server (Tara) and the kitchen was very quick -- yes, it was Restaurant Week and they wanted to keep the... More

My wife and I went to Bacchus based on friends recommendation. We went on a Saturday evening, the restaurant was full (which is always a good sign) but we had made reservations. The atmosphere would suit just about any age group. It is a busy place. The service was great. The menu is huge with many appetizing dishes. Nice wine... More

Our party of 4 had varied interests but each enjoyed our meals. The chicken livers and calamari were served without breading....MUCH preferred to the way others prepare food. The duck breast was delicious, pasta was outstanding, mussels, a usual favorite. We had a great experience here. Two of the 4 in the party are local and visit often. The other... More
