Nice breakfast

Went here with my daughter for breakfast. I had an omelet, she got French toast. We both enjoyed our food, and the portions were huge.

Although the Harrison Street Cafe (aka Harrison Street Coffee Shop) is getting rave reviews for its vegan cooking, we (my adult kids & myself) only got hot beverages to go, and some baked items which I can't recall much about. My daughter said her Chai Tea Latte was the best she'd ever had in her life. We were there on... More

Driving back from Maryland, my husband and I were looking for a place to eat, vegetarian/vegan. Vegguide.org listed this restaurant as an option with good reviews. Well, these reviews were in point. The vegan options were a plenty! I ordered the red lentil burger with a curried vegenaise dressing and my husband had the black bean hummus wrap. We both... More

The food is consistent and genuinely vegetarian, when this shop is open. Street Parking is difficult and this is primarily a college pedestrian cafe. Make sure you call ahead; Harrison's frequently closes early or altogether, especially when the university is closed. My favorite is the tempeh artichoke sub with cheese, which can be served vegan as well.

I was so happy to find a place that served vegan breakfast items other than oatmeal or toast! The breakfast burritos were awesome!

Interesting little college coffee shop. Appropriately eclectic, and the vegan food menu looked very intriguing indeed. Very pleasant staff.

The food here is fantastic. Everything is vegetarian and there are many vegan options as well. It's all delicious but I get the same thing every time - BBQ tofu. They have creative entrees, salads, soups, snacks and desserts. Wide variety of coffees, teas, sodas/fruit drinks & beers. They have breakfast until 11am and brunch on weekends. Rotating specials -... More

I've been going to this quaint coffee shop ever since I started working at VCU. The food is consistent and very good. I love their daily specials like the Indonesian Sambal, Mock Meatloaf, and the curry soups. The customer service is stellar and the atmosphere is great. Non-smoking! I highly recommend all to go there.
