We tried three desserts and the cheesecake won. The bing cherry reduction sauce made it super delicious. My bread pudding was not very tasty and could have used more sauce to give it more flavor. It tasted very bland, almost cloying. and the chocolate s'more creme brulee was not to our taste. We like basic creme brulee much better! I... More

Not only is this restaurant in one of the most beautiful hotels I have ever seen it is also operated in such a way that it is an incredible experience in it's own right. The Jefferson Hotel is a gem. I suggest you arrive early for your dinner reservation and take a stroll around the interiors of the first and... More

We were in Richmond for a few days visiting historical sites and wanted to go to a "fancy" restaurant and splurge. We were very pleased with the service, quality of food, and definitely the atmosphere. We did not stay at the hotel but walked around and took pictures. Fascinating tour with lots of history. We didn't have reservations so had... More

We ate at a table in the bar as we did not have a reservation but it was fine. The service was good, the menu interesting and the food excellent. Maybe priced a little high for the area.

It's been about a year and a half since we dined here and if anything it was better than before. This restaurant is amazing. Even if you stay at the hotel, which is wonderful too, make sure you dine here one evening. The service is impeccable. The food and presentation outstanding. It just couldn't be better.

The facility and staff are top rate. If you are a manhattan drinker you have to come here and try the bourbon based manhattan. Its a treat just watching them make one.

Quiet quality with good choices and attentive staff. We always enjoy this. Favorites are the squash soup, mussels, and tenderloin... But don't forget the fried green tomatoes!

The food and service were outstanding. We had oysters, squash soup and quail for appetizers. Beet fettuccini and sea scallops for our main course. A cheese trio and bread pudding for dessert . A great bottle of Corton Charlemagne. The dinning room itself was classic .If you enjoy good food you must try Lemaire.

I went here for my birthday as a group of 8 and we had excellent pre dinner drinks in the bar area. Then when we were seated we ordered appetizers: fried green tomatoes and crab cakes, which we enjoyed. For our main course several of us enjoyed the beef tenderlion and the sea scallops. One in the group also raved... More

For an upscale restaurant everything we ordered from the entree to first plates had a little too much salt. Salt is to enhance flavor not bury them. The dishes were innovative and nicely prepared. Here is the bad news.... there was a hair in my husband grits. Poor management, if something like that had happened, most would offer a gift... More
