As good as it was 15 years ago

Havana was one of my favorite Richmond eateries when I lived there 15-20 years ago. Despite its hiatus after the flood, it's comeback is nearly identical. The mojitos rock, the plantains are still heavenly, and the pork is melt-in-your-mouth yummy. A Bottom classic

Went here for an dinner and an event. The place is made to look old but in this case it is both fake old and really old and pretty dirty. Having lived in South Florida, I have eaten Cuban food many times. This is not Cuban.

We stopped at Havana 59 after a dinner so were quite full to order food. We all had a few drinks, some ordered appetizers. Several people were smoking cigars behind us and wind from open windows was blowing the wrong way and blew into our faces. Not bad, but annoying. Service was quick, bar tenders didn't stop all the while... More

Third time there, third time amazed. This place hands-down is my favorite restaurant in the Richmond area. The atmosphere, service and food are all outstanding. IF you don't treat yourself to this dining experience, you're missing out.

This place has a nice atmosphere, the food was good, possibly slightly over priced for the USA, but cheap enough for a brit! A nice find in a rather drowsy Richmond city centre. Sam was very helpful, and he had a good knowledge of the menu.

Great food, great service and a great decor. We arrived at 6:00 and could not get a table in the very limited outdoor nonsmoking section. We took a table at the much larger smoking section. Had a great meal and a good experience, but I am still coughing occasionally days later. Probably not worth the negative effects.

Had the pleasure of dining at Havana 59 last night, it was wonderful. From our first greeting to the tour of the building and learning the history it was welcoming. Excellent drink menu, Mojitos are their specialty, and they are very good! My mojito tasted like apple pie! We ordered three apps, dusted calamari, ahi tuna and cuban nachos, served... More

the food was nothing special, though a bit more expensive than I would prefer...definitely not worth the cost in my opinion. a nice atmosphere, and the mojitos were delicious. certain evenings the do offer salsa lessons/dancing, so that could be fun for a couple/date night. wouldn't really recommend the food, but drinks and dancing would be fun

Amazing resturant with authentic atmosphere and tastes. Taste of Habana plate had all the flavors one would expect in the Carribean or Havana not in Virgina. Great enjoyable dinner.
