We only ate here for breakfast, even though they served lunch and dinner with a small bar. I had a light breakfast both days, cheese grits (very good) and a biscuit the next (3-4" dia) which was probably the best I have ever had. My husband had rosemary potatoes and sausage patties that he said were good. We saw some... More

One of my favourite spots to grab breakfast while I'm in Richmond. Good selection of vegan food, strong coffee. Today's waitress was attentive and accommodating, with fast service. Also love the fact that you can get fruit as a side instead of carbs. The bloody marys are huuge! :)

821 was just a couple min walk from the Double Tree and just outside of the VCU campus. The food was above average, but the atmosphere was great. The tables are close together and some how we ended up in a conversation with the people to our right about Federal Economic Policy and the people to the left about aging... More

This is the place to be on a Saturday or Sunday morning in the Fan. Strong mimosas, a nice beer selection and hearty brunch fare--from breakfast burritos to bagels with cream cheese and lox. The food is very good, but not haute cuisine. It gets crowded for brunch, and you may have to wait outside. Really nice exemplar of the... More

Long wait for a Saturday, to be expected it's a tiny spot, but great personality and friendly staff. The food! I had the buffalo tofu and I've never had tofu with such infused flavor...a must have, bloody mary was yummy, fried artichoke app was delish but sub the sweer dipping sauce they provide with the garlic tahini dressing. My beau... More

This place is the best. I take out of town friends here, and I get fellow Richmonder's hooked. Thanks to a recommendation from a friend, this is our consistent brunch spot in town! Prices are good, they have a TON of variety, and very vegan/vegetarian friendly! Its usually seat yourself if you get there early enough--which I would recommend getting... More

Four of us arrived at 9AM opening for Sunday brunch and got seated right away. Not a big place and people were waiting when we left. No wonder because the food and service were great. Considered the best vegan breakfasts in town. We had vegan and vegetarian burritos and a tofu scramble. Everything was delicious.

This seems to be one of the better and the most original breakfast places if you don't wanna go to the Carytown. The menu offers a pretty wide range of meals for breakfast, brunch and lunch. The atmosphere is very homely, yet hipster-y at the same time. Pretty cool art all over the walls of the restaurant. You get a... More

It's small and funky. The food's great. You'll probably have to wait on line (outside since the place is so small), but it's well worth it. I had a vegetarian breakfast burrito stuffed with tofu scramble, veggie "sausage," and black beans. Oh, so good: meaty, spicy and filling. The breakfast rosemary potatoes were cooked perfectly, crispy (not greasy) on the... More

One of the best vegan/vegetarian menus I've seen. Unique menu. The fried artichoke sandwich is a must!! My non vegetarian family was happy as well.
