Adequate

This revered eatery was pleasant and clean. The service was average....a bit awkward. The food was typical and not memorable. I'd give it another try bit with caution.

We saw this on Diners Drive Ins and Dives and doing our visit to Richmond we stopped here. It's close to Monument Avenue. Good service. Good food.

Stopped by the area for work, walked in for lunch. Best meatloaf I have ever had in my life hands down. I sat by the window and great view of the college life. Price was really decent. The staff was ok, they were not rude but very to the point. No greetings or any smile, just get the order. I... More

Stopped here with friends to grab some breakfast and it hit the spot! Friendly, prompt service on arrival. A very homey, local feel. The sausage gravy biscuits were on special and tasted soo good. The hash browns, which I'd consider home fries, were real chunks of potatoes with great taste. Excellent place to stop for a great breakfast. If I... More

My husband and I grabbed lunch here while in town for a wedding. It was just what the doctored ordered. It's in the heart of VCU and was filled with students, locals, families and couples. The servers were friendly and the tis around the place made it convenient. The menu has salads, quesadillas, subs, sandwiches and pasta. They also serve... More

This was another one of my favorite Triple D stops from a recent road trip, and the best stop for breakfast. I had a fantastic breakfast burrito smothered in sausage gravy. The Wife had a breakfast sandwich- ham and egg. Both dishes were large portions, very filling. The staff was friendly and our waiter did a superb job. Village Café... More

A great old restaurant space with eclectic decor and a staff to match. I decided to try this place because it was featured on DDD. The menu offers comfort food with a twist. We were there for breakfast. I look forward to returning for lunch/dinner to try the Stromboli.

First time in Richmond and my good friend took me to this cafe for lunch! This cafe is just a few blocks away from her house and she often goes there. The food is actually okay. I got spaghetti and some toast. The salad, the toast and the spaghetti are just in good portion!! The price is good although the... More

This place has a great atmosphere that really embodies the ambience of downtown Richmond. The food is great and it is often filled with students from nearby VCU. My one complaint is parking can really be a pain. They have a parking lot that offers VERY few spaces but the 7/11 next door seems to have more spaces than it... More
