My friend and I chose this place based on the reviews and i was disappointed. The service was slow. My waitress responded ok to everything, no conversation. The wine list by the glass was a joke. The food was mediocre. Honestly I've had better Italian food at a chain restaurant. Which makes me sad because i always prefer family run... More

I'm checking a 4 out of 5 because of the things I like at Chianti. There are some good values on the menu, but some items seem bizarrely high to me. I'm just not going to pay $20 for a chicken entree at a neighborhood restaurant. On the other hand, there's a pasta special on the menu for about $13... More

I have eaten at this restaurant many times over the last 7 to 8 years. I have one favorite sandwich but I have tried other entrees occasionally. Their portobello mushroom sub is one of my favorite sandwiches in Richmond. The restaurant is small and sometimes understaffed if the crowd size swells.

We just had our wedding reception here this past weekend. Everything was wonderful! The food fantastic. The prices were great. The service was amazing. They made sure everything ran smoothly and that we had a great celebration for our day. We had around 80 people but the food still came out quickly and was delicious! We would recommend Chianti for... More

Casual lunch and dinner Italian restaurant where they know your name if you are a regular.... Great sandwiches (subs) and pizza and the Italian dishes are equally as good. Family and I often pop in for a great lunch - where they regularly have combo meals of subs, fries and drinks reasonably priced. The cheesesteak supreme is loaded with hot... More

Being a native Italian I tend to get very critical when I am at an Italian restaurant. In no way can any restaurant recreate that home cooking atmosphere that most Italians are accustomed to. Chianti is a very clean place and it doesn’t smell of garlic as some establishments do. The service I thought was great and not intrusive. The... More

Everything I've tried is good there, sandwiches, pasta or pizza. The prices are reasonable and they have a good lunch special.

Some of the best Italian food we have had in Richmond. The calzone melted in your mouth. Reasonably priced. Service was a little spotty but probably because the restaurant was so busy.

This is one of my wife's and my favorite restaurants in Richmond. It is run by two authentic Italian folks, Frank and Marta Bussa. They can always be seen in their open kitchen preparing delicious treats. My favorite in the winter is the Marta's lasagan while my wife's is the chicken marsala. A great summer time treat for a light... More
