It‘s Star-lite now, and hopefully forever. But this location was originally home to Soble‘s and his famous burgers from 1987 to 2000. Devil‘s Kitchen was next (but only for a little while) and then we took over in late 2001. Ever since, 2600 West Main Street has been Star-lite . . . just the way we like it. As a tribute, we still offer the famous "Soble‘s burger" and of course — if it ain‘t broke, don‘t fix it — we‘ve kept the neighborhood bar atmosphere that‘s kept this place so popular in the Fan for decades.

Delightful place for lunch

My friend and I ate here after visiting the Museum of Fine Arts, which is close by. I had read a few reviews and was pleased to see that the fried green tomato, homemade pimento cheese and bacon sandwich was just as delicious as the former reviewer stated. My friend ordered the portobello salad... read more

I've been to this place a few times and it's the best bar food in the fan. Great selection, good portions, good beer and drink menu, reasonable prices. 3 of us had drinks and dinner for just over $60. Only negative - service was a little slow the last time, unlike previous visits. Otherwise a great place

I have visited a few times. Food has always been satisfying with a good variety to choose from. Atmosphere is great, especially in the summer with the windows open.

This weekend my family and I got to see Richmond in a new light. My husband ran in the Richmond Marathon and we had a blast. This morning we thought we would take in a brunch. We went to Star-Lite. Hard to find a park and we had to wait. No big deal the weather today was awesome. We got... More

It's ok, but I don't get very excited going here...the food is good. However, it's just a normal restaurant, nothing that really stands out. Although, they do a good business...there are several restaurants within a block of one another and they all seem to do a great business.

Nice and fun environment. The service is always great and the food is delicious. It's always nice when you get a cute waitress, and there's a lot of them here. :)

We were just leaving MCV and headed to Cary Town for lunch when we noticed the mural and the restaurant/bar. Decided to stop in with the parents, both elderly for lunch today. First we all had different sandwiches. All were delish! My mom had The Duke, a chicken salad, my dad had the phanatic and loved it and I had... More

Green tomato, pimento cheese and bacon on Texas toast: tomatoes breaded in something fabulous and lightly sauted; wonderful and plentiful pimento cheese, crispy bacon; toasted toast. The french fries were among the best I've had. Service very attentive and pleasant.
