Great Food, Craft-beer lover's paradise!

This is one of the very best places in Richmond, VA if you want the true local Richmonder's feeling of what it is like to live in "The Fan" (Historic District of Homes). The beer prices cannot be beat during happy hour and the selection is what no other restaurant, or very few, have. Every name... read more

Wow, what a find. Off the beat & path, a cozy little neighborhood Italian eatery with fantastic food. Great vegetable lasagna, excellent eggplant parmesan, plus very good chicken dishes. We have been there a number of times with friend who live nearby and the food has always been great. Highly recommend even if it takes a little effort to find.

Generous portions, casual atmosphere, great bar....love this place. This restaurant has two rooms, the side with the bar is much nicer.

First the service is good, second the atmosphere reminds me of a 1950s mob movie, third the baked Spegetti is about as delicious as comfort Italian food can get, and last but best the prices are amazing. Maybe the best dining value in Richmond. Saturday night we arrived at 7 to a 25 min wait, and well worth it. We... More

My friend was picky. They were very accommodating. Service was fast for the number of clients. Drinks were refilled without asking.

The food is your basic American Italian. You won't find any surprises on their menu. Quantities are large and the bar is very popular. It is regularly full for happy hour, even during the week. Also on the weekends it is a mecca for hungover breakfast seekers.

Recommended by a friend who lives in the fan -- great restaurant and great neighborhood hangout. I did breakfast both times and enjoyed it both times!!! Good eggs, good biscuits. The beer selection (which I did not partake in) was amazing -- next time!

We eat here at least once or twice a month. When I tire of my own cooking we go to Joe's for a family style dinner. You have to get the baked spaghetti and in the summer, the Hanover tomato salad. The fried chicken is crispy and moist but you'll have to wait for it! You can get breakfast any... More

Been going to Joe's for many years--it's a must when I visit friends in Richmond. Love the Spaghetti Albert with baked cheese: this "smaller" portion is still huge, served with salad & delicious fresh bread. Steak sub is also very good, and breakfast here is reasonably priced with a good selection. Lively, noisy with an interesting mix of folks. Two... More

I had the tastiest cheeseburger and fries and the best Bloody Mary in town, Joe's is a staple in my life and a great place to visit
