Never Disappoints

Food, atmosphere, service, all make for a "fan friendly" kind of place. Have yet to order or eat something that wasn't very, very good, and very large potions.

Joe's is the place for a hardy sandwich (I like the tuna sub), my husband loves the chicken salad. Skinny, salty fries and a pickle compliment the sandwiches. We took half a sandwich home each. I drank 2 of the many craft beers available....Vanilla Porter! My husband had Vodka/Tonic...he did complain about the small cocktail glasses. The bill was about... More

Joe's is one of those places of Richmond lore that you gotta go check out. It has been there a long time and has a huge following! It's inexpensive and there is always a crowd. One thing that Joe's is known for is spaghetti. Big, huge, heaping platefuls of baked spaghetti. My trip to Joe's did not disappoint this evening.... More

I came to Joe's without any preconceived ideas but walking out the door, I wish I had known how fantastic it would be. Meeting a friendly face at the door and an amazing selection of draft beers, I couldn't have been happier. Steven our bartender was attentive and passionate about everything. The food was your normal café selection however the... More

We ordered the biggest and best pasta dish on the menu with all the meats and extras and were not disappointed at all! Honestly one of the best dollar/food meals that I've recieved in a long time. Both myself and my wife were stuffed with plenty to spare! Honestly you could split one of their large pasta meals between four... More

It doesn't get any better than Joe's for neighborhood food and craft beers. I used to live 50 yards from the restaurant for 30 years, and they just keep doing it right. This place has great ambience and a sort of patina that just feels right. They've got eggs all day, gyros, spaghetti, Greek salads, subs, sandwiches just about anything... More

Three grandchildren and their mates introduced us to this fine old establishment (been here since 1952). Felt like we were on the set of Cheers. Very crowded ad everyone seemed to know at least someone else. Long bar with many drafts. Narrow aisles and smallish tables. Noise level was active, but pleasant. Dottie, our wait staff, helped us with some... More

Luckily, I was with a friend who has frequented Joe's Inn so she knew exactly what to expect. The restaurant is very small and the food is awesome! We shared a salad (not a family size, just normal - huge!) and we shared mozzarella sticks and the Greek meatballs (with cheese). Everything was delicious and the servers are great.

I live around the corner from Joe's and eat there frequently. It's an institution and an iconic place in Richmond. There are two sides to the restaurant -- the bar side and the more family oriented side. You choose by going in the left door as you face the restaurant (family) or the right (bar). Both sides have the same... More

We were excited to try Joes again but didn't get the chance. We put our name in for six, and were told the six top would be available in a half hour or so. We watched many come and go over the next hour. finally we were offered two booths. When we got to the booth we were told to... More
