Here at Strawberry Street Cafe, we have been providing great food and service in an inviting, casual atmosphere since 1976. Located in the Historic Fan District, we are only about a ten minute drive from the Landmark Theatre and the Virginia Museum of Fine Arts. What we are best known for is our famous salad bar, which is actually situated in an old-fashioned bathtub and filled with fresh vegetables, fruits, prepared salads and homemade soups. The menu includes such specialties as Maryland Crabcakes, Pasta Jambalaya, Homemade Chicken Pot Pie, and Spinach Lasagna.

Great little place

Very extensive menu. Enjoyed the location and the atmosphere. Came here on a recommendation. Unfortunately my main dish must have sat under a heat lamp for a while. I had the shrimp and grits. Had great potential, but so dried up. I was hungry and ate it anyway. Tough and chewy shrimp. Crab... read more

I've lived in Richmond for the last 25 years and I never have tried Strawberry St Cafe until today. To call it a cafe is not entirely accurate. It's a legit restaurant with a bar. Well, a bar for alcohol and one for salad. I ate alone to give it a try before bringing my family. My waitress was very... More

Returned here with family in tow, having eaten here once on business 10-12 years ago. Loved it then; loved it today. Hostess was pleasant, seating our party immediately. Server was friendly and attentive without hovering. Menu was ample with many tempting selections. The Children's Menu was appreciated by our junior diner. Meals.appeared miraculously quickly with healthy portions attractively presented. The... More

A good restaurant that I unfortunately only get to dine at 1-2 a year. Located in the fan, parking can be tight if you are there at peak hours, but if you get there a little before dinner usually not a problem. Great hardwood interior, a little cramped when it is in a busy stretch, but good food. Have the... More

We had brunch there while we were visiting my sister in Richmond. My sister's boyfriend that went to school in Richmond, took us there. The food was very good and the nachos, were the best I have ever had. Good beer selection.

Main feature is the "Bathtub brunch"--items in a clawfoot bathtub. Several of us had the brunch, which had a good selection of brunch items. Items from the menu were also good-including a sweet potato and goat cheese grits! We were able to talk without being rushed, even tho there was a line.

The cafe is rather small but with a good selection of foods fro all types. The main focal point is the claw foot tub used in the buffet for salad and cold items. Price is right and good down to earth food.

If you are a "Friend of Dorothy", this is a great place to have brunch or dinner when visiting Richmond. My friends and I have gathered at this location several times for good food and conversation. Staff are very kind and helpful. Always a good visit.

We decided on a spur of a moment to go to dinner at Strawberry Street Cafe. WOW, we are so glad we did because this was an amazing experience. The service from the moment we arrived until we left was Excellent. The menu is great because there are different types of choices; something for everyone's appetite. Both of us got... More
