A True Experience

My family and I went here for dinner. They do a fondue type cooking. You pick out your meats and seafood then you cook them in a fondue pot. You can dip them in a batter or other seasoning to give it favorite. Also you do vegetables. Deserts too. Very pricey and takes alot of time. Very enjoyable... read more

We had an excellent "all you can eat cheese and chocolate fondue" at the Melting Pot. Our server was excellent. The fondue was out of this world. My favorite was the Alpine Fondue. I've had Swiss cheese fondue (gruyere) in Switzerland and several times in the states. This brought back wonderful memories of those times. Of course, the chocolate fondue... More

My wife and I LOVE TMP. When we want a romantic spot to celebrate our special dates, we chose TMP. It is not cheap, but for a 2-3 hour evening experience and the fun interactions with the staff are always enjoyable. We have NEVER had a bad experience and we will continue to come back.

The service was engaging but not overwhelming. The food was served promptly and did not wait between courses. The cheese and chocolate is what they are known for, but don't miss out on the salad and entree courses. We left pleasantly satisfied. Looking forward to a return visit with a group of girlfriends!

A bit on the pricy side for food you cook yourself (Fondue) but the service and quality of food is unsurpassed in Richmond. You pick your cheese, meats, cooking type and dessert. Fantastic selection of wines from $20 to $3000+ a bottle. Bring your appetite and be prepared to spend a couple hours, but it is well worth it! Also,... More

We went there for my birthday and had a really nice experience. Our waiter, Rohit, was very thorough and truly listened to us. When we told him that we had been there before, he asked whether or not we needed him to explain the menu instead of just delving in and going through his routine. We didn't do the typical... More

It's a fun experience but be prepared to spend your romantic evening with a stranger -- your server is at your table constantly. Some of it is necessary for food prep but they could greatly improve to make the time more efficient. As one of many examples, our server spent 5 minutes at our table while we were TRYING to... Went here for a romantic anniversary dinner. The waiter wasn't very friendly, talking soo fast we couldn't hear a word he said and his appearance was not formal at all. They sat us next to 2 screaming kids, which screamed and cried the whole entire time. Then next to us the people were complaining and talking about how bad the... More

My fiancé and I visited for his birthday and while the management staff was overwhelmingly friendly the service staff was just so-so. The welcome birthday card was nice but we were stuck in a corner booth that made it hard to eat and talk. The food was predictable and blah. Each time we come we like it less and less...... More
