You know the chef is proud of his cooking when he sends a free amuse-bouche to your table. If you're a visitor to Richmond - or even a long-time resident - you will be rewarded with an excellent meal if you seek out this restaurant tucked away in a neighborhood strip shopping center. Chef Mike Ledesma (we know his name... More

My wife and I visited this restaurant for the first time. It is a reboot from the older version we had not visited. It was my birthday, so we were looking for a nice place to eat and this was it. Chief Mike came out to greet and welcome us to Patina's. The menu was varied and had a nice... More

I have eaten at "patina" many times and under a few different owners over the years, For years it was Named the " Best restaurant" in the west end. Not any more I'm afraid, Its definitely lost that title. I think its admirable that they use the food grown from local farmers with " farm to table" being their motto.... More

I rarely write a review like this, as Richmond has so many wonderful restaurants. However, I was blown away by this hidden gem in Richmond's West End. The food was out of this world, and I was really charmed by the chef and the staff. The executive chef spent some time in Hawaii, and that influence shines through. You can... More

My husband and stopped by Patina late one Friday for drinks and an appetizer. We sat at the bar and received excellent service from the bartender. The appetizer menu was so interesting. I felt compelled to try poutine and crispy pork belly with a poached duck egg - delicious! The pomme frites - awesome! Chef Mike Ledesma came over to... More

We attended a private party here this weekend and it was fantastic. They pay attention to details - ambiance, food, drinks - all superb. It is an excellent dining experience and I highly recommend Patina! A nice hidden treasure in the far west end of Richmond (just a couple of minutes from Short Pump Town Center.)

A bit short of awful. The food overall was OK, a bit of the heavy side and too much use of butter. And way overpriced, $25-35/ an entree. The main issue is service. We waited 30min before our order was taken, and another 30 minutes before the 1st course and bread. The server was never "mean" but not welcoming. He... More

We had a party of nine and our meals were amazing! I had two children with us and they made special pasta meals for them. Perfect atmosphere and awesome food. Overall great experience.

Ate here a few times as Patina Grille. First time here as just "Patina". Improved dining area (now sans the black curtain) and the waiter...is still there. :) Excellent dinner by all (3 of us). My lobster was cooked to perfection. The oysters appetizer was delicious and the guys said the rockfish was great. Dessert was to die for. Will... More

I have eaten at Patina many times over the years so when it came under new management last year, I was a little nervous about what would become of this neighborhood gem. I am over-the-moon happy about the improvements! The decor stayed the same but the food and beverage options improved. The wine list includes good wine, not grocery store... More
