Hidden Gem one mile from Short Pump

With Chef Mike at the helm, my husband and I find the food consistently tasty here. We also like the calm and collected vibe so that we can actually hear each other talk while eating our dinner. This is one of our favorite spots! We go at least once a month and are never disappointed! We typically enjoy sitting at the bar and like to share a bunch of small plates so we might get to taste more of the menu. Not only is the food delicious, but we love the chef's flair for beautiful plating always... More

Great place. Very fresh taste. Shared 2 appetizers (oysters Rockefeller, wild mushroom salad) and an entree of spinach pasta with artichokes, coupled with a great bottle of wine. Loved the service, food, and the quiet atmosphere. Reasonable prices. Worth a repeat.

We have been living in the area for over 20 years and have seen many changes in patina. We couldn't be happier to have discovered this local gem. The food was rich and flavorful, the menu varied and we felt spoiled for choice! Highly recommend the BBQ pork, as well as the bread pudding for desert! Waiters were attentive and... More

Had a celebration dinner at this restaurant this week (12/4/14), and both of us were surprised what we found. The restaurant wasn't too crowded. The chef made some duck fat biscuits with ham and jam. We ordered the pork brisket and the rockfish. Both entrees were very tasty and presented on top of fresh kale seasoned to perfection. I sure... More

We were fortunate enough during this weekend's visit to Richmond to choose the Patina from the four suggested restaurants provided by one of Hilton's helpful receptionists, and we could not have been more pleased. Enjoying the unique character of this home grown or local eatery, and our Menu selections, made our Anniversary weekend, one to remember. While our main courses... More

You know the chef is proud of his cooking when he sends a free amuse-bouche to your table. If you're a visitor to Richmond - or even a long-time resident - you will be rewarded with an excellent meal if you seek out this restaurant tucked away in a neighborhood strip shopping center. Chef Mike Ledesma (we know his name... More

My wife and I visited this restaurant for the first time. It is a reboot from the older version we had not visited. It was my birthday, so we were looking for a nice place to eat and this was it. Chief Mike came out to greet and welcome us to Patina's. The menu was varied and had a nice... More

I have eaten at "patina" many times and under a few different owners over the years, For years it was Named the " Best restaurant" in the west end. Not any more I'm afraid, Its definitely lost that title. I think its admirable that they use the food grown from local farmers with " farm to table" being their motto.... More

I rarely write a review like this, as Richmond has so many wonderful restaurants. However, I was blown away by this hidden gem in Richmond's West End. The food was out of this world, and I was really charmed by the chef and the staff. The executive chef spent some time in Hawaii, and that influence shines through. You can... More
