Excellent laid-back place to hangout for a family brunch. My daughter loved the tableside jukebox. The egg scrambles are delicious and big. I shared mine with my daughter; it contained lobster, tomatoes, mushrooms, bacon, with a puff pastry layer. I tried the Hardywood Cream Ale, a Richmond brew.

This is an energetic place to go for brunch. The food is very good and the staff is adequate. They are not always the most accommodating but they try.

My husband and I had no other information about this place other than a reference of our friends who live in Richmond. It was a slow night; there were only three other tables taken. The decor is unique and definitely shows character. The hostess was lukewarm with her greetings and her help with the jukebox. The server was quite knowledgeable... More

On Veterans Day my family took me to Millies. I know better than to order fish on a Tuesday in Richmond so ordered Lamb. The fellow at the next table had it and it looked great. Mine wasn't edible. After a long vigorous sawing with a steak knife a bite size piece could be had but couldn't be chewed by... More

Millies is a great place to eat. Try their eggs Benedict Benny. Also their lobster dish looks great. Always the best place to have brunch in Richmond. The only negative is that you will have to wait. But all good things in life are worth waiting for

Millie's is a one off experience. Luckily we knew our waitress from a previous life and we handled it all to great advantage. Amazing how the chefs manage in their small enclave in view of all the folks patiently waiting at tables for their delights to be served! Go early otherwise you may be in for a long wait. Order... Visiting siblings for a weekend w/o kids. They took us here for brunch to cap off a really fun weekend. I loved every minute of it... sitting on someone's front steps sipping my blood mary that was basically forced on us so we would forget that we were waiting so long for a table... watching the kitchen turn out tons... I rarely complain about a bad meal at a restaurant. Of course I've had some not great meals before but usually at subpar restaurants. I've been here for brunch several times and think it's great. So my husband and I went to try dinner. The service was fine, although listening to the waitress at other tables fumble around trying to... More

It looked like a madhouse when we got there. Long wait and tons of people. But oh my goodness, this was some of the best food I've ever had. Months later I still think about it! I had a grilled flank steak with poached eggs hollandaise sauce and asparagus. We also ordered some lobster puffed pasty dish. I tasted the... More

Before there was a hot restaurant "scene" in Richmond, there was Millie's. And what made them popular and delicious then is still a standout today. Millie's has three distinct dining experiences: weekend bunch, weekday lunch, and dinner. The weekend brunch can be a zoo, but it's worth it. The food, like the Devil's Mess and Soft Scrambles Eggs with Lobster... More
