First Time To Dot's And It Was Wonderful

Dot's is a cool, old local spot on Macarthur Ave to get some good food with good friends. Get there early or you will have to wait. The inside is a bit noisy, so if you want to talk sit out side on the covered deck. The staff was super friendly and the burgers were Great!! We all had different... read more

My wife and I visited Dot's last night for dinner. We had heard good things about this place but had never tried it. Its a local hole-in-the-wall but is truly a treat. As we entered from the icy parking area, and the 20 degree evening, the room was amazingly warm and inviting. My wife is usually cold everywhere we go... More

Visited Richmond, VA for the first time yesterday, and bc I had heard my bf rave about this place, I had him take me for lunch. Dot's is a local favorite & would be hard-to-find if you're not familiar with Richmond. The servers are very friendly. The menu is packed with endless options. Good luck choosing which 'Heroic Burger' to... More

Every time we drive by Richmond on our vacation commute we stop for a meal. We actually plan our commute so we drive by at a meal time. I had a Oyster Po Boy which was amazing. Family pub atmosphere. Love it.

Always ask about dessert first..... Rule one of eating at local restaurants! Second visit here..... For me to hit a restaurant twice when visiting a city as large as Richmond speaks volumes.... Foodies always check out the next best thing, but.... The last time we were there was in the middle of the day... This time was at the peak... More

Dan liked his fish special and our friends enjoyed their meals (tuna special and veg platter). If you're doing a vegetarian meal, do the veg platter, not the falafel gyro. Falafel and pita hard & crunchy.

Atmosphere was great. Mixed up our orders which kind of ruined the experience. Will try them again hoping it was an honest mistake.

I personally love diners and dives and I was really looking forward to this restaurant. I was somewhat disappointed overall because everything, from the decor to the dessert, was just very average. We arrived around 6:30 on a Friday night, which appeared to be just the right time, because it got quite busy about 30 minutes later. The seating inside... More

What can I say? The food was outstanding! Service was outstanding! We loved this place! I had the Cajun Pot Pie with Cajun beans for a side. My friend had the NY Strip. WOW! We couldn't stop talking about it! Small little place but it was cozy and the staff were great. Please go if you are in the area.

This place is pretty small so you may have to wait awhile but well worth it. The menu selection combines the very traditional with some unique items and portions are really large. I had a spinach, feta and artichoke omelet, which I could barely finish. My husband had a kielbasa omelet. Our server was great but saw another one snapping... More
