I am susceptible to grand settings and you don't get grander than this, a huge dining room approached from an entrance level gallery via a superb double flight of stairs, said to be the inspiration for the scene in Gone With the Wind, and reminiscent of the great sweep in The Titanic. This hotel is gorgeous. The service is fabulous. They are very accommodating. The food was delicious. The valet even took the time to take our photo. The desserts are delicious as well. They gave us a beautiful window seat in the bar. It looked very formal. Just beautiful. If I return to Richmond this will be on my list for... More

If you want to do something special for a Sunday Brunch this is your ticket. The food is extraordinary for a serve yourself style, but the best part is the ambiance. We were seated on the second floor over looking the dining room and the Grand Staircase, bring a camera because your going to want to take some pictures. From... More

Oh to Sashay down the grand stair case of the Jefferson Hotel in Richmond! apparently featured in gone with the Wind and The Titanic ! Champagne brunch was good too, as are their lunch time salads - a must visit if your are in Virginia. Also across the way from hotel is the Police department building with a fabulous giant... More

I have wanted to have tea at the Jefferson for a decade. Finally, I went with a group of ladies. What a sad disappointment. After reading reviews about the tea on various sites I expected so much more. It was a cold, rainy day and we were there for 3 hours. The server came back only one time so we... More

Every brunch I have been to has paled in comparison to this one. It is truly a decadent event. My favorite time to visit is around the holidays because the decorations are truly something to behold. Make sure to book far in advance because tables can be hard to get around this time. My favorites are the waffle station and... More

This is by far the best buffet brunch I've ever experienced. From the Jazz trio, to the endless mimosas, to the kind staff, it is a relaxing, indulgent meal. There's an omelet and carving station, pastries, seafood, wonderful desserts (including my favorite, chocolate covered strawberries). We were on the mezzanine level, but it was fine (good way to work off... More

We went for the Christmas brunch and the tree and all the decorations made the rotunda very special. However, the Eggs Jefferson (their take on Eggs Benedict) are to die for! There are so many different kinds of food available, including an omelet station and a waffle station (with ice cream) that the desserts seem superfluous. Then there are the... More
