Quick lunch at a place out of the ordinary

I stopped here not knowing what to expect and I was quite pleased with the experience. Service was extremely fast and it's very nice inside, a touch of Paris in a charming, quaint setting. I ordered a le cordon blue sandwich and it was outstanding; hot, fresh, and delicious bread. The side salad... read more

OUI OUI! I have been to Paris, but I'm certainly not an expert on Parisian food. That being said, our meal last night was perfect. Parking was a slight bit of a hassle, but oh so worth it! They just rolled out a new menu this week, so we asked our wonderful server, Jamil, for some suggestions. I ended up... More

I enjoyed La Parisienne for the first time this week, for lunch. One of the specials was chicken flat bread with pasta salad. It was delicious. I'm not sure, but the flat bread tasted like it was just made. The chicken was cut into big chunks and breaded. The pasta salad had a spicy kick to it, which I liked... More

Having travelled in France many times, we were excited to try a Parisienne dining experience just a few blocks from home. While more spacious than most French cafes, the atmosphere was 'very French.' Our host and waiter were charming and attentive, very helpful with menu selections. One diner ordered a crepe, filled with sausage, apples, cheese...he's a big eater, but... More

I have been to the restaurant a few times. I find their menu limited. The food is good but sometimes I just can't find anything I want. I'm a vegetarian and recently asked if they would make a vegetable sandwich for me. The answer was no. Even Chick-fil-A will make a vegetable sandwich for me. The service is spotty. Sometimes... This is a cute place in the business district. It hasn't been busy on the two occasions that I've been here. The food is quite average, possibly deserving a 3.5. Crepes are the "specialty" but they really aren't that remarkable. Plan on spending a lot for so-so fare. Service is decent.

very nice classic French bistro food I downtown Richmond. The French onion soup was excellent as was the very fresh & tangy salad. The evening special of Veal Chop was large & flavorful, but gristle distracted from the quality. The sea bass was well-prepared & a cheese plate finish was quite well-selected. This is. Great venue in an area off... More

Great location in downtown Richmond, and a nice addition to the options in the city. The menu has an adequate variety - I went for lunch with friends and had the daily special of Turkey Melt with a side of Tomato Bisque. The sandwich was loaded with turkey, mushrooms and cheeses, and was very tasty. The bisque, however tasted more... More

We read the reviews and decided to give this restaurant a try. It was not a busy night because of the rain and cold. The ambiance and the personality of the manger and the waiter made all the difference. They made you feel at home and displayed good knowledge about the menu. We started with a French loaf and honey... More

In town for a conference, I was looking for a friendly place for a solo dinner. Early on a Thursday night, La Parisienne was bustling with a happy hour crowd. But the wait staff was fast and attentive, offering good recommendations for both food and wine. My opening glass of sauvignon blanc was crisp and refreshing, great with the salad... More
