AFTER MOVIE DATE NIGHT

Decided to try The Blue Goat following a movie at a nearby theater. Was looking forward to trying some of the items listed on their on-line menu. Unfortunately, the menu had been reduced and some of the items were not available. The choices were more like pub food. That said, we had a great... read more

They served a special of bone marrow when I ate there in November. The Oysters Rockefeller, Mac and Cheese were delicious. Everyone enjoyed their pizzas. Great atmosphere, just a tad noisy for me.

The staff person at the door could not have been more welcoming and simply adorable. I arrived at 11:15AM (early for lunch) and with no fuss at all, I was seated. Wait person was also very nice. We discussed the menu and I chose their cheeseburger-- locally raised beef and the restaurant grinds the beef themselves. The cheeseburger was good.... More

In Richmond over the holiday we decided at the last minute to go out. We were looking for a brew pub and came across this place in trip advisor. As always, it was spot on. Beer selection was amazing. Duck sausage pizza to die for, and as I sit here were waiting for the peanut butter chocolate pie. Worth the... More

Dined at The Blue Goat on Friday for lunch. The menu had a great selection and the meal lived up to my expectations. I started with a mimosa, for an app my friend and I shared 8 amazing and unique oysters Rockefeller. The oysters were on the smaller side, but the flavor did not disappoint! I'm not certain what the... More

What a great menu - lots of unusual combinations but they work and tasted great. Food was excellent. We are looking forward to going back. It is an open layout so it can get pretty loud but was enjoyable.

Four of us went tonight. The restaurant menu looked interesting. Our waiter helped us select a great Zinfandel. Three of us had the tuna bites. They were great and spicy. Big portion. The other had pumpkin and salad. She loved it. For our entree three of us had the rib eye steak. It was really good. The other had the... More

We had a nice meal here and great service. Be sure to make it for happy hour. They have wine on tap and great beer specials. Don't forget to try the crab dip!

We had reservations and a nice booth was reserved for us near the bar. Our server was attentive but aggressive and not exactly helpful offering up no suggestions for beers other than "I only like straight forward beer". My husband and I were engaged in a conversation when our appetizer (super bland fried okra) arrived and instead of putting it... More

We are so sorry for your poor experience at The Blue Goat. The level of service you received was unacceptable and we are so disappointed in our ability to serve you dishes that did anything short of blowing you away. My husband and I had brunch here while in town for a wedding. The menu has a Charleston flair and is mixed with old favorites. We sat outside since the weather was perfect! My burger was yummy and the server suggested I add pimiento cheese which did not disappoint. My husband got the hash, again at our server's suggestion, and... More
