We stopped at the HogsHead Cafe on our way home from the beach a couple of weeks ago. We arrived as soon as they opened for lunch which was a good thing. There isn't much seating available and the place filled quickly. The Hog Dog was HUGE and delicious. Service was quick and friendly, even when they started to get... More

Had the Hog Dog which was tasty. Quaint atmosphere. Seemed more like a to go place. Barbecue was good, and this is coming from a native North Carolinian. Will go back to try wings and ribs and most certainly recommend to others.

Small restuarant but food is superior and everything is good. My family likes the barbeque or pulled pork. I love the seafood. The sides are amazing--yams, corn pudding, squash casserole, hush puppies, sweet tater fries. You cannot go wrong unless you don't go!

Really great ribs. There was a 30 minute wait, but it was worth it. Everything was good, but the ribs were the best.

Delicious home cooking-one of the best meals I've ever had! BBQ ribs, pulled pork and excellent home made sides accompanied by wonderful lemon aid and lime aid. All followed up by a choice of great desserts.

Best barbecue restaurant in Richmond. We were in town for a baseball tournament and tried a few different places. The ribs and chicken wings were awesome. I will definitely be back!

Excellent BBQ. Homemade blackberry cobbler to die. Even the side salad was tasty. Very small place. Maybe seats 30. Sat at the 2top right by the door but didn't care. Food and service were both excellent. We will certainly be back.

I turned to Trip Advisor to find a place to stop for lunch in Richmond during a recent road trip. When Hogs Head Cafe came up, I was a little hesitant to believe that a BBQ place would be the best Richmond has to offer, but my husband loves BBQ, so I decided it would be worth checking out. We... We were driving through Richmond tonight on our way to Washington DC. We decided to stop at the Boar's Head Café for dinner because of the great reviews. There were so many choices to make everything sounded delicious. My husband ordered the wedge salad the brisket and the scalloped potatoes. Everything was done to perfection the taste was amazing. My... More

We knew we'd be in the Richmond area near lunchtime, so we went to TA to look for a recommendation. We were not on a schedule, so going a few miles off 95 was no big deal. We were a bit hesitant when we pulled in the small strip center with an even smaller front door. We arrived about 2pm... More
