We enjoyed a nice breakfast at a great window table. Food and service were both good. Recommend the eggs and lox.
The Shockoe Slip area of Richmond has many restaurant choices available. Four of us dined here together on a Saturday evening -- there were very few people in the restaurant, and maybe that should have been a clue, but anyway, I will continue. We all ordered 4 different items, and unfortunately, none of us enjoyed our meal. The parking situation... More
Restaurant – a AAA 4 Diamond, really. We went down for dinner and had to wait for a minute before a server saw us, as they had no Host. They only served the Restaurant Week Menu, however, wife got the dinner menu and I got the bar menu. I was looking for the extra touches – like the server putting... More
We were staying at The Berkeley and ate dinner there. We were surprised to be the only diners that night, because the food was quite good. Perhaps it was the time of year we visited (first weekend after Labor Day), because in our walk around Richmond the next day and our visits to other eateries, it seemed like hardly anyone... More
Food was excellent and so was the service and a very nice atmosphere. We were staying at the hotel but there were locals there as well. I recommend the sweet pea risotto.
The service was very good and the food was fine, but not a great value for the price. Though it was early, they were out of a couple of items even though the place was empty. The crab bisque was outstanding but the rest of the meal, while solid, was not outstanding.
Food was good and the atmosphere was really nice. We went first thing in the morning and had the place basically to ourselves. Several tables up against the windows looking out At Cary street. Based on brunch, would definitely try dinner.
As guests of the hotel, we lunched there on our arrival - the only people in the restaurant for lunch. Whilst my wife's salad was fair, my burger with fries was tainted by the oldest soggiest overcooked chips I have ever seen. They appeared to have been on their third meal, were dark brown to black and with little actual... More
We ate here twice during a recent stay at the Berkeley Hotel--dinner and breakfast. Both meals were delicious. My husband had the crab bisque and crab cake entree for dinner. I had parsnip soup and the beef roast with mushroom risotto. The waiters were attentive and helpful. We will definitely eat here again.
