Very Enjoyable

This Indian restaurant regular finds Anohka to be top notch and one of the best N. indian restaurants in the mid- Atlantic region. The lamb rogan josh is exceptional and worth a detour and the hassle of dealing with the seemingly constant traffic congestion in this Short Pump corridor. For some unknown reason the dish is only on the lunch... More

Had been to Anokha on atleast 10 occassions and had a good experience on each visit with family. We went there mostly for lunch and had vegetarian food. The main course comes with a choice of salad/soup, Nan (bread) and rice. The soups and salads are different and really appetizing, making you crave for the main course. The main course... More

1) Prices. Lunch specials are the exact same as what you'd get for dinner, but several dollars less each dish, and the exact same size. Two ppl can eat for $20-$30 depending on what you order. 2) Bonus. You get a salad/soup, naan, rice, a veggie side, and a tiny dessert - all included in the price. We often walk... More

I had been to Anokha based on the online reviews, since the ratings say it is the best indian restaurant in Richmond. But sadly that was not the case for me. the food quality, taste was pathetic and the portions were too small for the price. We ordered goat curry as it was their specialty but the pieces were all... We also ate here on Nov 1, as the previous reviewer, but we did eat at the bar. It is a tiny bar and they are not really set up for meals there, but we had fun with the bartender and it was the end of the night. The chairs are very comfortable at the bar. We have eaten here... More

I have eaten dinner at Anokha at least 25 times over the past 3 to 4 years, most recently on Saturday, Nov 1. The restaurant was full, with people waiting for tables in the tiny bar area. They said it'd be a 30+ minute wait and wondered if I wanted to eat at the bar. I said "no." I have... More

I have been to MANY Indian restaurants all over the country. This is absolutely tied with my favorite!!! From the moment we entered the door we received excellent service!! There was more than enough wait staff, a lovely interior design. Every thing about it was great. I expected the prices to be outrageous but they were very fair. Then came... More
