We ate at Amuse at the recommendation of the innkeeper where we were staying in Richmond (Grace Manor Inn). He said that the VMFA was a "must" and eating at Amuse would be a treat. He was right. On the museum's third floor, with one wall of floor-to-ceiling windows offering a lovely view, Amuse creates it menus to be in... More

Take a detour if necessary to the Virginia Museum of Fine Arts and try Amuse. We enjoyed the mussels as our appetizer. My husband loved the braised pork belly. I had the crab cake with succotash.

This place is very unique being in a museum. Beautiful ponds and grounds plus after you eat you have a museum to enjoy. Not many restaurants can say that. Food was good with plenty of parking. On the could have been better but not bad: menu & times open are extremely limited. All & all nice place to spend an... More

Great views, quiet ambiance. Very attentive, cheerful wait staff. Professional. Low key style. Like a high end restaurant. Tator tots and French fries fun appetizers. Crab cake lunch excellent lump meat and not breaded, fried chicken crispy. Portions could have been bigger for price but they tasted great. Fig sorbet perfect. Bread pudding was exactly as the traditional recipe calls... More

When we arrived at 11:30 for lunch there was no one in the restaurant, and that made us nervous. We were visiting in Richmond and even tho I research the heck out of where we eat, we had already managed to have some very MEH food in this supposedly foodie city! As we sat on their lovely third floor deck... More

This restaurant has a very airy and spacious feel. The sandwiches were excellent! The setting, Virginia Museum of Fine Arts, could not be more satisfying. The view of the grounds from the café is marvelous!

I'd heard great things about Amuse, and was excited to finally have a chance to try it. Unfortunately, our lunch got off to a bad start when the hostess put us in an uncomfortable position with the seating. Then when I saw the very limited menu that was different from the one I'd viewed online, I wasn't particularly overjoyed. I'm... More

After a lovely couple of hours touring the museum-- it really is an amazing art museum-- we ended our visit by having lunch at Amuse. We each had a drink. My rose was very tasty, and a generous pour. The beer selection was good, and their coffee was excellent. After we ordered, we were brought the most delicious warm bread... More
