Brunch Biscuits

Arrived 1115 am on a Saturday, we waited on the shaded patio with drinks (such a nice touch!). The food was amazing, again. Bayou biscuits were inventive, USS Va was huge (1/2 size is 12 in!!) and everything was delicious! The Bloody Mary made with gin was the best I've had.

Quite the selection of beers and great sandwiches (great being size and taste). They have Sunday brunch as well. Will go there again.

Delicious! The giant sandwiches are so good. Amazing bread and delicious combinations. Looking forward to going back to try some more.

My niece Samantha worked here while attending college in Richmond .The Black Sheep is a smallish restaurant with Big and somewhat elaborate meals .The subs are a lunch time favorite beginning with the CSS Virginia ( Featured on Man versus Food with Adam Richmond ) Fried chicken livers on a french baguette with shredded cabbage , green onions , granny... We enjoyed our brunch here this past Saturday. I had the the Huevos Nuevos with my eggs over easy and it was very yummy! My daughter had the South Anna scramble which was my least favorite. I think I didn't like the trout taste in my breakfast food. My husband had Green Eggs and lamb and it was incredible! The... More

This is a favorite place of mine which offers some fantastic meals and deserts. While it gets a lot of press for the battleships (gigantic sandwhiches), my favorite items here are the brunch items. All of the ones I have had have been amazing. The one downside here is the wait. The restaurant is small (and popular), so lends itself... More

The food here is outstanding. Honestly the best sandwiches I have ever had. They make their own pickled veggies and each sandwich has a unique sauce and flavor. Don't order a full size one as it is two feet long!

We stopped in after 4PM on a Sunday to find only two tables available - one in the window and one in the center of the quaint and charming room. We opted for the table in the center of the room to get a 360 view of all the original painting and curios covering the walls. I'm thankful for the... More
