Friends of ours 'knew' the owner, so we all decided to try it and made reservations. When we got there two tables were open in the front, but the hostess who turned out to be the owner said we needed to wait, and she would get us a good table. We went to the bar, and waited for about 30... More

Arrived at this restaurant feeling we were really in for a treat, My friends speak fluent French and also know the owner Wendy( kind of) Well upon arrival the owner raised her hand at my friend as to acknowledge her being there and then we were told to wait. We had a reservation and clearly there were some tables in... More

I only went here for lunch, but the place was a little cramped and the service was a little stuffy. Also just a tad pricier than I was expecting. That aside, super good food if you enjoy French cuisine! I'd like to try for dinner as well, but overall a positive experience for me, great sandwich and delicious chocolate mousse... More

I'm a vegetarian which doesn't often go well with French cuisine. I love their veggie side dish combo options. Everything is so favorable. I'm sure their meat dishes are equally well executed. Good service too...with a lot of seasoned personality,

Recently my wife and I dined at Bistro Bobette for the first time, but definitely not the last. It's a small, sparsely decorated restaurant that features large displays of contemporary artwork rather than the ubiquitous memorabilia found in other French bistros. We dined on sea bass and the restaurant's own version of cassoulet, with an appetizer of venison foie gras.... More

The food is perfectly prepared and pleasing to all of the senses. The staff is extremely knowledgeable about both the food and wine offerings. We dine here at least a couple of times a year for special occasions.

My husband and I were visiting Richmond for the New Year's holiday. We travel extensively, maintain a part time home in Paris and consider ourselves Francophiles. I read all of the reviews of this restaurant before booking for the evening. Our experience was very enjoyable. While I initially was not happy with the table we were given (in the aisle... More

We dined here for the second time and again, the food and service were excellent. The escargot was perfectly cooked; the ahi tuna was delightful; the oysters on the half shell were plump and tasty and all of the meat dishes - beef tenderloin, ribeye and bistro steak were marvelous. Bistro Bobette is truly an outstanding restaurant in all respects.... More

Christmas dinner with daughter, son-in-law, parents of son-in-law: thankfully, Bistrol Bobette was one of the few non-hotel restaurants open. Being lovers of most all things French, we thought we were set for a great meal, and a joyeux noel. "Greeted" or, shoud I say almost acknowledged at the door, by owner/hostess, Wendy, after a short delay, we were shown to... More

Stopped in for lunch the day after Christmas. Upon entering, the first thing that grabs you is the décor. A very pleasant combination of loft and urban cool with a pleasant brick and gray palette with a back wall filled with bottles of wine. You feel relaxed the moment you sit down. We started off with the baked escargot in... More
